SAINT JOSEPH SCHOOL

Letter From The Principal

December 2019

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Dear Parents and Guardians:

I extend to you my warmest greetings as we prepare for the beautiful celebration of Christmas Day.

Our Santa Sale will begin on Tuesday, December 3rd and will continue to Thursday, December 5th. A notice was sent home regarding this event. We could use your help during the Sale Days; or Setup Day; or, Take-Down Day.

Please fill out the paper we sent home and return to school. Your help is really needed and appreciated.

Our Student Council is again sponsoring their annual Mitten Tree. This year they are also including a Coat Drive. It would be great if everyone could participate and purchase a pair of gloves, mittens, scarf, socks, etc. or donate a used (but, still in good condition) coat. We appreciate your support to this great cause.

I thank you for your generous food and monetary donations to our annual Thanksgiving Drive. Our school families were very generous. We appreciate your kindness and generosity.

Please mark your calendars for Monday Evening, December 9th : 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM for Report Card/Parent Conference Evening. It is important that you attend to discuss the progress of your child/children.

I thank everyone for their support with our annual World’s Finest Chocolate Candy Sale. There were many families who sold extra boxes of candy, we are very grateful for that. However, if you did not send your payment yet, I ask that you please do so as soon as possible.

Our annual Christmas Concert will be on Thursday, December 19th at 9:00 AM in the Church. The children have been practicing very hard and we know you will enjoy your children’s great talent.

I offer my best wishes and God’s Blessings to our Parish Office Manager – Mrs. Maryann Griener who will be retiring on December 30th . A special Celebration in her honor will be on Friday, December 13th at 7:00 PM in the Church Hall. Mrs. Griener also worked as our School Secretary for many years before working in the Parish Office. We wish her many wonderful years of Retirement.

I thank all of our Parent Ambassadors for all their hard work and dedication in planning for our Open House for new families on Monday, November 18th. Also our thanks to our Student Ambassadors and Student Council Members for their excellent assistance. Of course, I thank my extraordinary Teachers for your help and dedication. Because of everyone working together the Open House was a great success.

Fr. James is in the process of interviewing candidates for the Parish Secretary Position. The person would have to have secretarial skills. If you or someone you know might be interested, please call Fr. James at the Rectory at (201) 653-0392.

At this time, I wish all of our Saint Joseph School Families a very Blessed and Merry Christmas. I also wish you a very Blessed and Happy Healthy New Year for 2020.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and support.

God Bless you.

Mr. John Richards

Principal
