The Ministry of Education leads the mission to prepare a generation capable of carrying the nation's economic and social development duties. A mastermind of all measures of teaching and learning and school management.

We needed to be sure, given our users are within education specifically; that any new solution implemented could be trusted and managed easily and efficiently. We didn't hesitate in adopting NETASQ's solutions.

It gears all facilities, curricula, evaluation systems and high quality working force to serve all pupils in various education sectors along with deployment of modern technologies proportionate to Digital Oman Community Strategy.

? Providing flawless security of MOE portal to be accessed by students, teachers and MOE employees.

? Preventing any attacks that can `paralyse' all the educational organization.

? Managing the steadily increasing number of users, following though the development of the MOE.

? Securing more than 41 sites on site or remote.

The Ministry of Education of Oman provides services to all students, teachers and employees. They have online services like an educational portal, school management system, learning management system document management system and others online services for public and private users.

They needed a solution to secure all these online services against any threats. They installed NETASQ firewalls as a network gateway, securing the web servers and connecting branch offices through IPSEC VPN. Today, at least 41 fully redundant sites are part of the project. Other masters units secure remote sites.

They chose NETASQ Centralised Manager to manage all appliances from a centralized location.
