1. This is a formidable enemy.

“Lips…drip honey…but in the end…bitter as gall…. Her steps lead straight to the grave.”

2. You are given effective weapons.

“When you walk, they will guide you;”

“When you sleep, they will watch over you;”

“When you awake, they will speak to you.”

3. You have to learn how to use your weapons.

Pay attention.

Listen well.

Keep your father’s commands.

Do not forsake your mother’s teachings.

Bind them.

Fasten them.

Store up.

Guard.

Write them.

Say to wisdom, “You are my sister.”

Call understanding your kinsman.

B. You are flirting with disaster. (5:7-14)

A. Cultivate love for your wife. (5:15-19)

A. Her weapons are powerful. (6:24, 25)

B. Her motives are selfish. (6:26)

C. Her husband is jealous. (6:27-35)

“…no one who touches her will go unpunished.”

D. Her methods are very powerful. (7:6-20)
