Michael SoohooTECH and ASSESS FinalDr. ConeMW 9:30-10:45May 2, 2016Site 11. . This site seems pretty useful because it gives you your exercise feedback on calories burned per hour with certain exercises and activities. It seems pretty easy to view and use it gives you the exercise to the left hand side and then on the right it has a weight category and the calories burned per hour during that specific activity for that specific weight group. The only thing is this systems seems more for adults because the weight starts at 130LBS.3. One thing for this that I would suggest is to add more weights and maybe an age group as well. This site could be beneficial for people of all ages who are interested in seeing calories burned with their particular activity or exercise. I don’t know if I would necessarily change anything to the existing pieces of the website because it does seem pretty put together and it is very easy to read and understand but I think adding more weight categories and possibly adding another table for age groups as well. Another recommendation could be to set up the calories in half hour increments instead of a full hour of calories burned because more calories could be burned in the first half hour rather than the second half hour because of intensity or fatigue.?4. As I said in the previous question I think adding tables for age groups would be beneficial for all ages because most young teens are not 130LBS and would not be able to get an accurate representation. Also I think adding in half hour calorie burned numbers instead of full hours would be a nice addition as well. You would be able to see how much calories you burned in that first half hour and the second half hour as opposed to just seeing a whole number at the end of one hour.?5. I believe the information on this site is accurate. Not only does the site have multiple workouts of various activities they took the time to put in intensity levels and speeds so each person in those weight categories can get accurate numbers based on their own levels of intensity and activities.6. This website could be very useful in my profession depending on which route you would like to go. In a personal/group training setting this could be very useful for the clients because without asking anyone they could see which workouts that they did that day and the length of time they did it in and see how many calories they burned. However, if it was not for an hour they would have to do some math to get a little bit more accurate number for themselves. For example a half hour of one exercise you could cut that number in half and it would be a closer representation of that half hour of calorie burning rather than an hour. This is just a simple and easy way for clients and just anyone who wants to workout and is interested in calories burned it is an easy way to view that.?7. This website did not actually have any quizzes or surveys or calculators to use. Its home page was the calories burned scale that they represented then the other pages were mostly tips and suggestions. They had a wright training workouts, nutrition and diet information as well as healthy cooking tips.?Site 21. . The original site is a little confusing but once you can figure out which page you want to actually use and then find that page it gets pretty simple and easy to use. It has a bunch of different links you can click and go it is mainly for nutrition such as keeping track of calories and keeping track of weight so if that is a category you are interested in it will definitely be useful.3. I would put those calculators and trackers into the site itself rather than opening up to another site. I think it would make the site easier to use and overall just more user friendly. Sometimes having to open up a bunch of different windows can get a bit annoying and confusing.4. I would add an activity tracker as well into the site. This site is good with having weight maintenance pages and trackers and things like that but what about an activity tracker so you can see your calories burned and time working out as well as seeing the intake.5. Yes, the information is accurate. The actual website itself does not provide much information other than a description of the page you will be going to and the information on those pages such as super tracker are accurate because I compared a food label to the information given.6. I think in the health care profession all of these tools will be useful in some way. Whether it is nutrition the super tracker and the app to download would be effective ways to help clients keep track of food eaten and calories. As well as any other profession within the health field because it has a BMI calculator which is useful as well. The health care professional themselves may not use these methods but they could recommend those methods to clients and others that want to keep track of it on their own time in a more time consuming and cost effective.7. I used the BMI calculator and the super tracker on the pages and they were both accurate the BMI is accurate compared with labs done is classes and as I said in a previous answer for the super tracker I compared a food label to what the tracker said.Site 31. . This site was very easy to use it has clear tabs and heading for each topic on the website that you may want to know. The website is very clear and easy to navigate it doesn’t have too much going on but still looks good and gets you the information they want you to see.3. I honestly do not believe this website needs to change anything technologically. It has clear heading and tabs that make it very easy to navigate. It has information on many different topics from kids to school settings. It also gives out webinars and other study courses as well.?4. I know this website is the Dairy Council website but I think adding a little more nutritional information other than dairy would be beneficial to other people as well. People want a variety not just one set thing. I think if they added a little bit more content on some variety of foods would be good for the site.?5. This company has been around for over 90 years and has registered dieticians, nutritionists and teachers as well. The information on the site is provided by those certified.?6. This website would be perfect in the health promotion field. This website promotes calcium and healthy living which would be very useful in any health fields. It would only really assist you with your dairy needs but for children and kids trying to get calcium to get stronger bones this website is very useful but I would more recommend it for a younger group.7. There is a calcium calculator on the page which they call a quiz. You input your name and age range and also for females if you are pregnant or nursing as well. It gives you a list of about 35 different dairy products and it asks to put in the number of servings from the previous day and when you enter it it then gives you back your calcium intake for that day.?Site 4 think this site is very clear and easy to use. Although the baseball calculator does not work on certain browsers so that was a little inconvenient but just as for the clarity of the site it is good. The technical change that I would consider making would have to be to make the baseball calculator available to all browsers. I think it would be unfortunate for someone coming onto this site and to use that specific link and it wont work because of a browser issue. I would definitely add all sports averages to this site and not just limit it to whats you have now. It is definitely a useful site for sports fans and even for people in their own rec leagues and town leagues to keep their own stats and percentages to see how well they are doing it would be a very good thing for the site to add more sports such as soccer and basketball as well as others. 5.I know this information is accurate because I compared the calculator to the stats. I used Aaron Rodgers 2015 stats to find his passer rating with this website and the passer rating came back the same 92.7 on and this site. 6. I do not think this website would be very helpful in any health related fields. Although, they do offer links to other websites to go find other materials as well as some library information I don't believe this site would be very helpful or at least this site would not make it that easy to find what you are looking for .7. I used the Body Fat % calculator off the tab on the left side of the page that said “calculators” as well as the sports one to find Quarterback Rating (QBR) the body fat % calculator did not seem to be too accurate because it gave two completely different estimates ranging from 13-33% body fat. As for the QBR it is accurate and the calculator got the same QBR for Aaron Rodgers on and this website both at 92.7 so very accurate for that calculator.Site 5 site is very easy to navigate through and right on the home page it is very clear what they are trying to offer on the page. They want to offer a calorie burner for specific sports and the intensity or competition level of those sports.I think a technical change that could be made just to make the home page look a little bit more clear would be to just put the intensity levels as a link then off that link go to the sport you are looking for. I think that would be a little more user friendly because instead of scrolling up and down the page looking for your sport or intensity you would be able to just click the intensity and then have an alphabetically list of all the sports that they have for the intensity level I believe that would be a little bit of an improvement technology wise. I do not actually believe this website needs more content. I think it has enough different variety of sports and activities that someone will be able to find their category of workout as well as it having food databases and trackers and recipes and you can even get the nutritional information for those recipes are extremely useful. This website is definitely put together well content wise. It has all the different categories you may need in multiple subjects as well and not only calorie loss in sports. The only content that the website should possibly add is multiple weights and diet plans to lose those calories in sporting events because the diets listed would not be accurate pre comp. meals for athletes. Having a little bit more to choose from in that aspect can help even more people rather than such a specific group.5. The calories burned with the description of the person given are accurate but I do not believe that the diet that they give is very accurate assumption of what an athlete may be eating prior to a game. They have the athlete eating all junk food even with a little bit of wine wth fast food and snickers bars I just do not believe that would be a proper food log for pre competition meals. But with that given information the calories burned would most likely be correct or very similar. 6. I believe in a physical therapy setting giving this website to your client to track for themselves while not in your office just while getting back into shape would be very useful. Not only will it track the activity they do and calories lost it will also give the physical therapist an idea of how much work that person is able to do outside and see the intensity level they could complete those tasks at. 7. They do have a daily calories burned estimate in which I did use they ask for your age, height, weight and your lifestyle such as sedentary or moderate or heavy work and estimate your daily calories burned. I do believe this information is fairly accurate considering it is an estimate and the website makes that clear once you hit calculate. It tells you right in the first line that the number is an estimate because based off the information given there is no way to get an exact number of calories lost. ................
