2020 Corporate Volunteer Council of Atlanta IMPACT AwardsHonoring Corporate Community Service & Civic EngagementThis has been a most unusual year, and companies are thinking about social impact in innovative new ways. The IMPACT 2020 Awards will recognize different categories than prior years in recognition of current community needs calling out outstanding achievements in corporate volunteer service (for Atlanta-based work) through the following categories: IMPACT Corporate Volunteer Program of the Year Presented to an exemplary corporate-employee volunteer or corporate social responsibility program that went above and beyond in the period between January 1, 2019 and July 1, 2020 to effectively integrate volunteering into the company’s business culture.Skills-Based Volunteering IMPACTPresented to an organization in recognition of its efforts to leverage the skills of the company’s employees to build operational capacity of nonprofit or community partners while fostering professional growth. Nominations may specifically reference an established skills-based volunteering program or may highlight a company’s pivot from in-person to virtual volunteering and CSR efforts due to COVID-19. All projects and programs referenced in the nomination must take place between January 1, 2019 and July 1, 2020.Social Justice IMPACT Presented to a company that addressed social justice in a bold and innovative way in the period between January 1, 2019 and July 1, 2020.ELIGIBILITYAwards will be given to for-profit companies, businesses or firms that recruit and activate volunteers to serve the Atlanta community and/or exclusively utilize Atlanta-based volunteer resources. Nominations may be made by companies, non-profit organizations or government entities in the Atlanta area.The nominated company, business or firm must approve the nomination before it is panies are welcome to nominate in more than one category.THE JUDGING PROCESSThe Judging Committee is comprised of community leaders and experts in corporate social responsibility. Decisions of the Judging Committee are final.No representatives of CVC member companies are involved in the judging and scoring process. The IMPACT Awards Committee is responsible for qualifying entries, but not scoring. If a company represented on the Committee submits an award application, the Committee member will not participate in the qualifying process for the category entered.COST: CVC of Atlanta Members receive first entry free and pay $50 for each additional entry. Non-Members pay $50 per entry. The CVC of Atlanta may utilize portions of the nominations as examples in member programs, publications, on the CVC website and via social media. If you received an IMPACT Corporate Volunteer Program of the Year Award in 2019, you are not eligible to reapply in that category until 2021. However, you may apply in other categories.Award Finalists will be announced by the CVC via email and social media.
