The Small Business Mindset

Congratulations for wanting to develop your interest in starting a small busness!

Arguably, the best way to start a big business is to start small and help it grow. Many people we'd normally consider "well off" are small business owners. Here's a true story about a fairly large, small business (35 employees) in my home town; They started 18 years ago as a husband/wife team going around cleaning carpets. Today, they are a 6+ million dollar per year business performing contractual repairs and upgrades on houses for individuals and banks. They still clean carpets, but over time, they slowly added services until they became a full-blown contracting company.

Not bad.

And it all started with a very simple idea.

Do you have similar thoughts about starting a small business? One harsh reality is that the vast majority of small businesses fail within the first 5 years. That's one reason I put this document together.

After reading this report, you should have at least a basic understanding of the fundamentals of starting a small business, the right way.

Most people with money are not people who live lavishly or make themselves obvious by driving expensive cars. Some do of course, but in fact most wealthy people don't immediately appear that way at all.

Let's look at seven common traits of wealthy people. The following page is paraphrased from the book The Millionaire Next Door. No wealth building book is a perfect fit for everyone, and this one certainly has at least a few flaws, but it does have some good concepts that are worth a look.
