Northern Nevada Builders Honored at 16th Annual BANN-ER Awards

Reno, Nev. – The Builders Association of Northern Nevada (BANN) saluted the local building industry at their 16th Annual BANN-ER Awards on November 16th. The awards have become the construction industry’s acknowledgement of the quality of products offered to the citizens in northern Nevada.

The winners of the 2012 BANN-ER Awards are:

• Best New Home Design; Production Home Under 2,000 sq ft, Upland Contractors, Stoneridge Model 1

• Best New Home Design; Production Home 2,000 – 3,000 sq ft, Ryder Homes, Breckenridge Plan 3

• Best New Home Design; Production Home 3,000 sq ft and over, Desert Wind Homes, Villagio 3518

• Best New Home Design; Custom Home Under $1 million, Silver Crest Homes, Monte Vista Le Champagne

• Best New Home Design; Custom Home $1 million plus, JLS Designs, Martis Camp Lot 300

• Best Commercial Project; Frame Architecture, Carson Medical Group

• Best NAHB Green Certified Home; Di Loreto Homes, New Edition II Plans 1 & 2

• Most Effective Use of Green Building Product; True Green Roofing, 543 Plumas Street

• Best Single Room Remodel; Ruepp Construction, Meadow Hill Kitchen

• Best Commercial Remodel; Frame Architecture, the Un Caffé

• Outdoor Lifestyle Award; Private Residence, Sierra Summit Landscaping and Silver Crest Homes, Monte Vista Models

• Outdoor Lifestyle Award; Public Space, Signature Landscapes, Truckee River Levee & Floodwall

• Best Overall Marketing Campaign; Silver Crest Homes

• Best Trade Contractor; Reliable Framing

This year, the BANN-ER Awards included some additional recognition for community leaders. BANN named Ron Smith, Sparks City Council, Public Official of the Year. Lance Jackson, Eureka Builders, was honored with a Community Service Award by the Builders Association Charity and the Nevada military Support Alliance. Jackson constructed 2 homes for wounded Nevada soldiers with Homes For Our Troops.

In addition to the BANN-ER Awards, BANN named Robb Wong of Guidenby Inc. as Builder Member of the Year, John Brown of NV Energy as Associate Member of the Year and Melissa Palange of King Bee Construction as Subcontractor Member of the Year. “Each of these individuals has contributed to our association, our industry and our community in various ways,” commented Mike Dillon, Executive Director, Builders Association of Northern Nevada. “They deserve to be recognized.”

BANN also honored Perry Di Loreto, Alan Means, Jack Reviglio and Tom Reviglio by inducting them into the Housing Hall of Fame. Created in 1998, the Housing Hall of Fame recognizes those who have made a difference in the building industry and the northern Nevada community.

Eleven new home sales agents were recognized with Million Dollar Sales Agent Awards: Michael Di Loreto of Di Loreto Homes, Nancy Johns of Ryder Homes,

Chris Patterson of KB Homes, Jon Dorn of KB Homes, Jessica Bennison of Silver Crest Homes, Jeanette Maiss of Toll Brothers, Bethany Legate of Toll Brothers, Jennifer Jory of Mountain View Ledges, Heidi Lawson of Desert Wind Homes, Valorie Holcomb of Desert Wind Homes and Gavin Holcomb of Desert Wind Homes.
