Dear sir/madamI am writing this letter after reading an article called ‘education for all.’ It has left an shocking impression on me. I was surprised to see how bad the education circumstances are in Nigeria. Therefore I wanted to write this letter to the G8, explaining my view on the situation.I believe everyone should have the right of education. This is hard to be found in certain parts of the world but I do believe that a lot can be changed if the government spends more time and money in the issue. I think the G8 can have influence on the situation by supporting the Nigerian government with money. Only 6% of the annual budged of Nigeria is spent on education and that is not enough. I think the G8 is spending money in the wrong places and that should be changed.I once saw this movie about the girl effect. I believe this is one of the better methods to ensure more education. By buying classrooms, computers and teachers only certain people are helped, and they use this education only to provide for their family needs temporary. The target of the girl effect is ensuring a good education for an whole family in the present and in the future. The plan is spending money to finance education for girls at a young age. When this is done they are likely to wait with marriage, getting children and will start a good career. When they get older they get children for which they can provide food and education easily and so education is passed on for generationsI hope this letter has a bit of influence on the ideas concerning education in Nigeria. Yours sincerely, Deyonta de Vos ................
