This year the PTA will fundraise through the Chip Shoppe. Their catalogue offers a wide variety of quality items, including kitchen and home items, wrapping paper, and fabulous tasting food and frozen items. The products will be delivered in November before the holiday season. Please look for the catalogues to come home in your child’s backpack on October 2nd. Proceeds are used to support our children and school throughout the year, including the Back to School Social, Field Trips, Room Parties, Art Awareness, and much more. Families and Staff may order apparel starting today on our own online store. Orders will be delivered in mid-October once we close the store on September 23, 2013. Each class has chosen a theme, and we are seeking donations from families to help fill them.? The baskets will then be bundled and on display at the Fun Fair.? Raffle tickets can be dropped in the collection box next to the basket you would like to try to win!? Additionally, if you can't make the Fun Fair, you can buy raffle tickets and drop them?in at Curriculum Night on September 23.?If you could please send in your basket item by Monday, September 23, we would greatly appreciate it.? If you wish, you may also choose to send in a monetary donation (checks?payable to NYE PTA)?and we will do the shopping for you.? Attached is a list of the themes for each class.?We are also looking for donation of Kleenex boxes to use for our raffle tickets.? Last year was a huge success and the kids enjoyed seeing their classroom baskets displayed at the Fun Fair.NYE PTA Fun Fair is coming September 28th? We need your help!As the Fun Fair approaches, there are many ways in which our Nancy Young families can help to make this event a huge success!? If you’d like to help out, here are some suggested areas where we need YOU:Mystery Bags – if you happen to start cleaning out some drawers or closets and find some new UNUSED small toys, we would love to use them for our fabulous Mystery Bags. We are currently collecting small toys, like the ones found in Happy Meals and all of those lovely birthday party “Goodie bags”? Other items we are looking for:Candy – Dum Dum suckers, wrapped Starbursts, Tootsie Rolls, etc…Pencils, erasers, boxes of crayons? and other small school suppliesStickersBouncy balls***Mystery bag items can be dropped off at school or brought to 2598 Kendridge Lane – just leave on the front porch and make sure to mark your bag “Fun Fair Mystery Bags”Classroom Raffle Baskets – Each classroom will have the opportunity to put together a Classroom basket to be raffled off at the Fun Fair.? This activity is strictly optional – but if your family would like to help out, here are some items that will be needed:Cellophane WrapRibbonGift Cards – Stores, restaurants, movies, etc…CandyFun Fair Games VOLUNTEER – The Fun Fair is going to have some awesome games that will be run by our Nancy Young families.? If you or your family would like to volunteer for an hour or more – we need YOU!? We will need at least 40 volunteers to make this event a success!? Games will be easy to run and a lot of FUN!? High School students are welcome and this will count towards their service hours.? If you’d like to help with games, please contact Brenda Montemayor at brendamontemayor@.Concessions – A Fun Fair would not be complete without FOOD!? So, we are asking our NYE families to consider donating concession items for the Fun Fair.? These items can be dropped off at school – please label them “Fun Fair Concessions” - We are looking for the following:Cases of pop (Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Root Beer, etc…)/water/juice boxesBoxes of individual bags of chips – Doritos, Cheetos, Fritos, etc…Individually packaged snacks items like fruit snacks or GoldfishGift cards or monetary donations which will be used to purchase the items.Bake Sale/Sweet Shoppe – Yes!? We will have a delicious Sweet Shoppe at the Fun fair and we are counting on our NYE families to donate yummy baked goods, either home-made or store bought.?
