1. Introductions

2. Todd Dewett: update on his MGT 766 - MANAGING FOR CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION course; pushes students out of their comfort zone, involves journaling, self-insight and examination of interpersonal aspects of organizational creativity and innovation

3. Mike Body: update on small business consulting projects; discussed how analyses of clients’ business models by UD students feeds into WSU projects for MIS; clarified that the business model analyses are useful even if the students aren’t experts on the business’ operations

4. Ryan Fendley: an MS of Engineering Innovation has been proposed; the engineering school might have business model projects for the business school; the certificate program in innovation and entrepreneurship is off to a fast start with a highly attended 1-hour seminar; currently working on NSF proposal on tech transfer

5. Rosemary Ramsey: update on her UH 400 – Embracing Change course; update on her MBA 760 – Marketing Strategy students’ projects developing innovative product marketing plans for Mike Sells

6. Scott Williams: update on MBA 755 – Competitive Strategies students’ projects on emerging business models in Dayton’s strategic cluster industries; update on winter quarter MGT 499 – Strategic Management students’ projects for inventors of a product that balances the temperatures of rooms in multi-story homes; published an article on possible shifts in the competitive balance of hospitals due to innovations in community-wide electronic medical records
