How to Download and install MS Project from

Microsoft Imagine

All students are provided with a DreamSpark (now known as Microsoft Imagine) account to

download software. The students receive an email to their mylabton.ca account with the

Microsoft Imagine registration link. This registration provides access to the Microsoft Imagine

Store to download software.

1. Go to , login with your studentID@mylambton.ca and your permanent

password.

2. Open ¡°Cestar College ¨C Microsoft Imagine¡± in your email box, click on the ¡°Click here to

complete your registration¡± and complete your student information and save the Microsoft

Imagine password that you create.

3. Click on ¡°Start Shopping¡±

4. Click the Project 2013 or other software you need.

5. Select Add to Cart.

6. Click the shopping cart icon on the up-right corner.

7. Check out your order.

8. Copy and keep the ¡°Product Key¡± information to be used after MS Project installation.

9. If the first time download, you should Download and Install the Secure Download Manager

(SDM), and download your Package (.SDX file).

10. After downloading the file, if you Windows installation does not have an unzip software installed

you can download 7 zip (from or other software) to extract the file.

11. Install SDM.

12. Launching SDM with IE

13. Close the window with the message with this instruction:

14. Double click on the file shown below in the downloads folder.

15. Select ¡°Start Download¡± button.

16. The software will be unpacked automatically after the download.

17. Click on Launch it.

18. Click on the Project Professional 2013 folder.

19. Click the setup, and install.

20. Close the installation app.

21. Click on ¡°All Programs¡±, ¡°Microsoft Office 2013¡± and ¡°Project 2013¡± to open the software.

22. To Activate Office, click on ¡°Enter a product key instead¡± link, copy the ¡°Product Key¡±

information and paste in the box.

23. To make sure that it is activated. Go to ¡°File¡±, ¡°Account¡± and check ¡°Product Information¡± in the

up-right.
