Example/Description

Tell campers that each week you'll read them a story that is connected to the math topics that they are focusing during this program.

Read the story to the class and be sure to put lots of enthusiasm into your voice! You might want to have the campers sit in a circle on the floor so that it is easier for you to show them the pictures.

Discuss the big ideas of the story which focuses on arrays and remainders that is evident in the bugs' line formation.

Math vocabulary words/concepts for the story are as follows: remainder and arrays.

Campers will complete the related read aloud activity.

(Preteach for the division lessons that will begin on July 8th).
