Eucharistic Minister – Assist in distributing Holy Communion at MassUsher – Greet and assist people at Mass. Altar Server – Serve at daily and weekend Mass. Church Decorating and Organization – Help with seasonal decorating, set-up and take down. Rosary Leader – Assist in leading the Rosary before the 5:00 pm & 9:30 a.m. Mass. Music Ministry Cantor – Lead songs at Mass. Adult Choir – Provides music for one Mass on the weekend, Holy Days and special occasions. Resurrection Choir – Provides music for funerals.Children’s Choir – Scheduled September through April, approximately monthly. InstrumentalistsAccompanists – piano/organ Leadership OrganizationsCrucifixion Council of Catholic Women (CCCW) Leadership Team – We support parish and school life by participating in many of the events, activities and fundraisers that take place throughout the year. Meetings are held quarterly. Knights of Columbus – A fraternal organization open to all Catholic men. General membership meeting third Thursday of the month.Parish Involvement – Parish Council, Finance Council, Building and Grounds, School Board.Pastoral Care Ministry Funeral Lunch Committee – help to prepare food, set-up, and serve the luncheon following the funeral Mass.Homebound Visits – One or bothBring the Eucharist to the homebound and nursing home Visit elderly, sick and shut-ins. Prayer Shawl/Mission Support – Knit prayer shawls for those in need of healing. Sew blankets and diapers for Haiti mission.Prayer Chain – Pray for the needs of others for 2 weeks and have others pray for you.Rosary at Nursing Home & SpringBrook Village– Lead the Rosary for residents of the nursing home in La Crescent and SpringBrook one time per month.Make Snack for Rosary at Nursing Home & SpringBrook Village -Commitment of one snack per year. Meals on Wheels Delivery – Deliver nutritious meals to La Crescent residents.? Delivery takes 30-60 minutes.? Meals are picked up at La Crescent Community Center. Crucifixion School OpportunitiesServing Lunch Secretary during lunch Kindergarten Aide Preschool Aide Playground duty during lunch recess Alumni Tracking Book Fair Christmas Craft Show Christmas Tree Pick-upMarketing CommitteeSCRIP selling at MassSCRIP countersParent Teacher Organization (PTO)Faith Formation Teacher/Sub – Team-teaching available. Classroom support and materials provided. Assist with Confirmation Program – Serve as a small group leader for high school Confirmation students. Chaperones for Confirmation Service Projects Community Life Apple Pie Baking – Held the Thursday before Applefest weekend in September. Dessert Committee – Bake a dessert for special events held throughout the year. KC Lenten Fish Fries – Assist in kitchen, dining room, serving line, set-up and clean-up. Held 3 Fridays during Lent. The Crucifixion Gala: A Night of Giving – Held the fourth Saturday in April. Sub-committee work includes Live/Silent Auction, Decorations, Food, Entertainment, Info/Notices.Lenten Soup Suppers – Held every Tuesday during Lent. Make soup, bread, and/or desserts, serve, clean up.Mardi Gras – Assist with set-up, donations, serving food, games and clean up. Catholic Mom’s Group – Meet with other moms for a social and spiritual time together. Roast Beef Dinner – Held the first Saturday in November.Assist with food prep, set- up, serving/dining room and clean up. Rummage Sale – Held in June, but help needed all year to sort items. Help moving items and with set-up the week prior to the sale. Workers needed Friday and Saturday of sale and for clean up. ................
