Recording Partner’s Report: Rose posted Jan. 2011 minutes on Bivio. No Corrections, Don made motion to accept as posted, 2nd by Jim , accepted as corrected by the group.

Financial Partner’s Report: Mike posted the report on Bivio. Mike will make the K-1 available on Bivo for each individual after taxes are done. That will be around the 28th of the month. Jackie made motion to accept, 2nd by Marty. Passed by group,

Online Education Classes: 

There are THREE of our Online Classes remaining.  These classes are presented via a web conferencing tool called GoToWebinar.  The classes are brought directly to you in the comfort of your home via your computer or using your telephone.  PDF format handouts will be emailed to you after registration as attachments the week prior to the class. February 28, 2011 – Portfolio Management Techniques:  Maintaining a portfolio requires more than buying quality stocks.  We will present some techniques to improve your portfolio’s performance by employing good management skills.  Learn to effectively use the Portfolio Reports in Toolkit 6 to maximize your returns.  The Portfolio Review (PERT), Trend, Offense and Defense Reports and the Challenger will be covered.  Instructors:  Gene Senter and Mike Higgins. 

March 28, 2011 – Red Flags NOT On Your SSG:  Eighty percent of what you need to know to choose a stock is on the Stock Selection Guide (SSG).  This class will teach you where to find the other twenty percent.  Instructor:  Bob Lowery. 

April 11, 2011 – Buying Mutual Funds:  This class covers some mutual fund basics as well as focusing on factors to consider when evaluating a mutual fund to buy.  It will touch on the Morningstar Mutual Fund Report and present the Mutual Fund Trend Report.  Instructor:  Craig Jacobsen.

Special Event: 

 Saturday, March 12, 2011 – Doors To Tomorrow – Join us on this special day to learn about exciting new technologies that await us in the future.   You will hear presentations and meet representatives from General Electric, Toyota Motor Company and Duke Energy.  These companies will be presenting insight into their forward thinking with their innovative and new technologies and their strategies for growth.  More details will follow shortly.  MARK YOUR CALENDAR to join us at this Special Event.

Old Business :

- Marty talked the Morning Side data feed, which will be made available now that the data is corrected.

- Audit Committee Report: completed the 28th

- Marty will send out an email for Manifest Investing.

New Business:

Reminder that the April meeting will be in Lawrenceburg, IN. Rose has taken over Abbot as Johnson and Johnson was replaced by Abbot.

Education: Jim Presented on the Banking Industry vs. the industry. Dene helped with the preparation of the information. Value line comes out every 2 weeks. Banking industry is under financial sector in value line. Banking is not making a quick recovery after the recession.

-Mark presented on Extracting Information from the Annual Report. Go to BI first cut reports to become familiar with the company and what they do. 15 Item check list to evaluate new stocks. Can be found on the web site – Marty will send the form to Rose to add attach with the minutes.

Stock Presentation: Hudson City Bank – Jim, Compared SSG to First Niagra. This bank grows by acquisition. Came up in Manifest Investing Round Table Webinar.

Marty sent out screen of Manifest Investing in the Energy sector that was worked with Don. See Email. Marty will do a Webinar for the club to explain how to review – Wed. March 16th @ 7:30 PM. The training will last approximately an hour and a half.
