OLI OrientationHow to Create a Student Account and Register for Textbook Access(Updated 01/23/14)IMPORTANT: Please use Firefox as your web browser. Go to the Open Learning Initiative (OLI) website: click Sign Up in the upper right plete all fields in the Sign Up box on the left side of the screen. For Choose Account ID, the field automatically populates with your email address. If you wish to change it, you should do so at this time. Important: The only account setting that can't be changed after you confirm your account is your Account ID.Then click the Sign Up button.On the Confirm Your Account Information page, review the account information you entered. If you wish to make any changes, click the Edit Account button. If your information is correct, click the Confirm Account button. Read the statements in the Online Consent Form. Since you have already agreed to participate in the study, to be consistent, please select “I Agree”. Selecting “I Do Not Agree” will not allow your data to be included in the study. Then select “Submit”.You will be presented with your OLI “My Courses” home page. Under "My Courses" enter the course key _____________________________ and click the GO button.Verify that the correct course appears by confirming that the correct instructor is listed. Click the Register button.Finally, click on Enter Course.Now that you have an ID and are registered in the course, you can access your OLI My Courses homepage and view the online textbook by going to at any time and click the Sign in link in the upper right corner of the screen. System RequirementsPrior to using the course for the first time on a non-COC computer or any time you use a new computer to access the course, please select the Test and Configure My System link. On the Test and Configure Your System page, you can run an automated test and read instructions that will assist you in installing the required software and configuring your system appropriately.
