Here's a complete checklist for selling on eBay. For details about each step, see Sell an Item – Getting Started.

1. Become a registered eBay seller.

Let us know how you would like to pay your seller fees.

Confirm your identity with an automated phone call or by contacting customer support.

2. Sign up to accept PayPal.

3. Research your item.

Make sure your item is legal in general and okay to sell on eBay. (See prohibited items policies.)

Select a selling format. (such as Auction-style, Buy-It-Now fixed price, and Classified Ad.)

Search active and completed listings for listing category and price ideas.

Calculate shipping costs and look at other ways you can optimize your shipping.

4. Create your listing.

Start selling:

1. At the top of any eBay page, click the Sell tab.

2.On the Sell page, click the Start selling button.

3.Sign in. You are now in the Sell Your Item process.

4. Select a category by searching, browsing, or using a previous category selection.

Create your listing:

(1).The first few times you list, you may be asked to choose a listing form.

(2) Based on the category you choose, you’ll be asked to include important details about your item.

If your item matches a product in our catalog (for example, if it’s a book, DVD, cell phone, or other electronic item), you’ll be offered product details and a stock photo from our catalog.

For items in other categories, you’ll be asked to fill out item specifics such as the item’s condition, size, or style.

(3). Complete the listing form.

5. Manage your listing.

Check in at My eBay to see how bidding is going.

Answer all questions you receive from potential buyers.

6. Wrap up with your buyer.

(1)If you used Checkout or PayPal and your buyer completes Checkout or pays by PayPal, respond quickly to payment notification and ship the item as you specified in your listing.

(2)You can also use Checkout to send the buyer an invoice.

(3)If you didn't use Checkout, contact the buyer directly by email or phone within three days of the end of the listing.

(4)Ship your item safely and on time.

(5)Leave buyer Feedback.
