CLASS CODE: 0412 PAY GRADE: 418 CLASS TITLE: LICENSE ISSUANCE/ELECTION AND CORPORATE RECORDS ADMINISTRATOR - SES ALLOCATION FACTOR(S) This is administrative work planning and directing the activities of a section involved in the interpretation and application of statutes and rules in the Division of Licensing, Division of Elections, of Division of Corporations in the Department of State.EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED: (Note: The examples of work as listed in this class specification are not necessarily descriptive of any one position in the class. Plans, directs and administers the activities of a section involved in the interpretation and application of Florida Statutes, departmental directives, and/or divisional rules in the Division of licensing, or Division of Elections, or Division of Corporations.Plans, directs and administers the activities of a large telephone information staff.Conducts specific studies to determine problem areas which affect the accomplishment of organizational objectives and statutory requirements and prepares recommendations to ensure corrective action.Monitors follow-up action on corrective measures implemented.Researches, studies, and prepares data and statistics sought by individual legislators, various legislative committees, universities and federal government, candidates for governmental offices, etc.Testifies in court based on division records.Conducts and/or assists in conducting seminars and workshops sponsored by the Division of Elections for state, county, municipal election officials and candidates.Prepares responses to inquiries from municipal and county election officials, candidates, and public with regard to the interpretation of election codes as well as election results.Conducts preliminary investigations of complaints against candidates, or conducts investigations of complaints against registrants or licensees.Plans work loads, work flows, deadlines, work objectives and time utilization with municates on a regular basis with employees both individually and in staff meetings.Interprets Florida laws pertaining to area of responsibility.Reviews and assesses impact of legislation related to area of responsibility.Drafts revisions to laws and administrative rules affecting areas of assignment.Develops pre-service, in-service, and cross-training programs for section employees and employees of other sections desiring to develop knowledge and skills in document examination.Researches case law and Attorney General's opinions affecting assigned area of responsibility.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (Note: The knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) identified in this class specification represent those needed to perform the duties of this class.
