The SHCS Library website is filled with resources for your student's academic enrichment. Below you will find information about how to access their accounts.

Many of your child's textbooks are available online. The links to each text series may be found on the SHCS Library "For Parents" page:

K-1: Math & English 2-5: Math & English, Science and Social Studies 6-8: Math & English

Teachers may assign skills for homework, or you may search for skills to practice.

Google Classroom - classroom. Mostly used in grades 5-8, Google Classroom is an online platform where teachers connect to students, manage assignments, share information and more. Students log in with their email and password. It is usually first initial last name @ (jstudent@). Passwords for younger students are eagle###, where ###=lunch number. Older students create their own passwords but are required to share with their parents.

AR HomeConnect - AR Home Connect View your student's Accelerated Reader goals and progress. Register your email to receive notice of completed quizzes. Sign in with each student's AR user name and password. Usually lunch number and first name.

Destiny Discover - Search the SHCS Library and beyond! This search will show you books, ebooks & audiobooks in our library, as well as reliable websites and databases. Search without logging in, but to place holds and access some materials you'll need to sign in. Click "Sign in with your Google ID" and use your school email information. (all grades)

PebbleGo/PebbleGo NEXT- & Informative articles read aloud to students and include videos, images, and games. It's our sneaky way of introducing research and using reliable sources to our youngest students. From the Library Online Resources page, no login required. If you wish to use the apps on your device, login with username shcs and password read. (PebbleGo Grades PK-3; PebbleGoNEXT grades 3-6)

Discovery Education - This award winning streaming content service provides students with video and content to support their learning. Search for videos like: Weston Woods (animated versions of storybooks); Clifford; Sid the Science Kid; WordGirl; Maya & Miguel; Magic School Bus; For older students: Goosebumps; Bill Nye the Science Guy; Animated Hero Classics; Mythbusters; Search "audiobooks" and find 39 Clues, Geronimo Stilton, Allie Finkle, classics and more Click "Sign in with your Google ID" and use your school email information. BrainPop - Fun videos featuring the robot Moby teach kids about a variety of topics. Also features educational game. Try BrainPopJr. For K-3. Login for the site or apps with username shcsknoxville and password teacher (all grades)

MyON - COMING SOON! A new online reading platform filled with thousands of ebooks.

Many sites that we use at school allow students to "Sign in with Google" and use their school login. This reduces how many username/passwords they need to memorize!
