Teachers of grades Primary to Six create the report card by entering values in the learner profile, for social development/work habits, along with comments, subject / strand grades and academic comments into the gradebook. Depending on the grade and subject, different values must be entered into the Gradebook.

Comment: All subjects have an academic comment Integrated Language Arts, Integrated Mathematics, Physical Education and Music will have comments for the subject. For Term 1, only Integrated Language Arts and Mathematics academic comments will appear on the report card. For Term 2 and 3 Integrated Language Arts and Mathematics, Physical Education and Music academic comments will appear on the report card. Integrated Language Arts, Integrated Mathematics will have a subject comment.

Comments for Physical Education and Music in T1 are optional, and comments for T2 and T3 are required.

Learner Profile Comments are entered in the Homeroom Attendance Only AM. Music and Physical Education comments are entered in Learner Profile column in their respective classes.

1 GRADES PRIMARY TO THREE

1.1 ENTERING VALUES INTO THE GRADEBOOK

1. In the Gradebook, select the year or term from the Classes section and the correct Reporting Term for the report card being generated. If the wrong year or reporting term is selected then the values you enter in the Gradebook will not be displayed on the report card.

2. Click the Scoresheet tab. 3. Click the button: Final Grades. A series of columns are displayed.

1.1.1 ENTERING THE LEARNER PROFILE COMMENT

Under the Classes section, click on the HOMEROOM ATTENDANCE AM ONLY PR-3 class. The first column is the Learner Profile, enter a comment, or select a comment from your

comment bank. See Section 4 on How the Score Inspector Works or Section 5 on how to manually input

comments and grades. After a comment is entered a small blue C is displayed in the Learner Profile Comment column.

1.2.1 ENTERING THE SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT/WORK HABITS

After a comment has been made for the Learner Profile, the next set of columns are the Social Development/Work Habits.

Right mouse click and scroll to Grades and select the code for the student. You can also use the Score Inspector. Please see Section 4 on how to use the Score Inspector or Section 5 on manual input.

Grades P-3 will use the following codes: WD- Well Developed D ? Developing ND ? Needs Developing N/A ? Not applicable

1.3.1 ENTERING SUBJECT COMMENTS AND GRADES FOR INTEGRATED LANGUAGE ARTS STRANDS

Under the Classes section, click on the integrated Language Arts class. The first column is the Comment for the subject. Right mouse click in the column in line with the first student to bring up the Comment

Inspector, enter your comment, or select a comment from your comment back. See Section 4 on How the Score Inspector Works or Section 5 for manual data entry. After a comment is entered a small blue C is displayed in the Learner Profile Comment column. The following columns (until you get to the Curriculum Outcome column) are the strands, enter the grades (A,B,C,D or INS) for each strand.
