Out of state test scores for the 2020-21 school year can be submitted if you are new to Florida for the 2021-22 school year.In addition to the above criteria, each applicant must have:One completed teacher recommendation (attached form only). The applicant should give the recommendation form to the teacher. I will notify the teacher of any concerns relating to the course or my child’s progress. I understand that my son/daughter may need to seek additional help from the teacher outside of class. I understand that meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee admission to the program and that the decision of the selection committee is final. By signing below, I give permission for my child to participate in this rigorous program.Volunteer HoursStudents in the SALT program will be required to do twenty-five (25) volunteer hours each year. Five (5) of the hours will be required to be done on campus, and the other twenty (20) will be done at a school-approved location (proposal request form). Volunteer hours for the 2022-23 school year will be based on CDC guidelines/Covid restrictions. More information to come.Student Admission Agreement:I agree to the following terms and conditions for participation in the SALT program:Follow all rules of DeLaura Middle School and Brevard County Public Schools at all times.Show respect for fellow students and school personnel at all times.Actively participate in class by being prepared daily.Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in all courses with no grade less than a “C” in any subject.Make every effort to be in school every day as attendance is vital to my success.
