My Teaching Philosophy

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that as a regular elementary education teacher I have a responsibility to foster a love of learning, uphold the highest standard of teaching, and provide students with a foundation for lifelong learning and responsibility in a changing world. As an effective educator I recognize the critical role of parents and community in meeting educational goals. I will strive to establish a solid educational program. Additionally I will provide each student with the opportunity to do several key things.

First, students must learn to be responsible for and accept the consequences of their conduct and academic performance. Next, it is important that students learn to respect and appreciate cultural and ideological diversity and differences. Students also must learn skills needed for technological literacy in a rapidly changing world. I believe it is necessary to help students develop the capacity to examine and solve problems. Next, I am sure that there are many characteristics that make for a successful teacher.

What are the characteristics of an affective teacher? First, a master teacher enjoys her job. She is enthusiastic and prepared. Naturally, a successful teacher must let students know she is concerned and supportive. Next, it is important to have high expectations and use a variety of learning activities. I believe it is important for a teacher to have a sense of humor. Naturally, a student must be treated kindly and with respect.
