Conference overview

This four-day virtual course is an extensive review of multiple systems in anatomic pathology that will allow anatomic pathologists to become more proficient in different fields of pathology. The didactic presentations from leading national experts in the field of pathology will provide indepth discussions of problems in diagnoses that practicing pathologists face in their hospitals in day-to-day activities, while the seminar will help residents and fellows with their specialty boards.

Intended audience

This seminar is intended primarily for practicing pathologists, fellows, residents, and other health care professionals.

Conference objectives

At the conclusion of this seminar, participants should be able to: ? Demonstrate improvement in diagnostic skill in problematic areas

of anatomical pathology. ? Identify, classify, and differentiate benign, premalignant, and malignant

lesions in different organs. ? Apply special immunostains and molecular testing in the evaluation

of non-neoplastic and neoplastic diseases. ? Communicate results effectively with the clinicians and better appreciate

the importance of clinicopathologic correlation.

CME accreditation

Allegheny General Hospital is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Allegheny General Hospital designates this live activity for a maximum of 20.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Participants claiming CME credit from this activity may submit the credit hours to the American Osteopathic Association for Category 2 credit.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 20.0 MOC Lifelong Learning points in the American Board of Pathology (ABPath) Continuing Certification program.

Other health care professionals

A certificate of participation will be provided to other health care professionals for requesting credits in accordance with state nursing boards, specialty societies, or other professional associations.
