Here is a look at the new login page for SkillPort 8. If you have not been into SkillPort in some time, and are unable to login use your Owl Link userID and pgccss7 for the password. You will then be prompted to change your password to a permanent password. Check the Enable Web Accessibility box to launch a 508 ADA compliant version of the learning management system.

You may get a SCM Locator Dialog box popup. If you do, click run on the dialog box. If you find that the system stalls at the login in progress page, please go to and click the red download button. SkillPort needs java to run properly. Download and install java.

See What's New is the landing page for the SkillPort Learning Management System. Click the See What's New link to return to the landing page. To access the Skillsoft courses click the Browse Skillsoft and Center for Professional Development Training link.

This will open the content library. You will find the Skillsoft courses under the Skillsoft Library column. Select a category under the heading to access the courses.

The Skillsoft Library contains over 3000 courses categorized under the headings of Business Skills, Desktop Skills, IT Skills and Certifications. Under the Center for Professional Development Training heading you will find Center for Professional Development instructor Led Training sessions. These are categorized by program type: Employee Engagement (for all employees at PGCC); Teaching-Learning Center (for PGCC faculty); Leadership Development (for those who have direct reports, or who aspire to become leaders) and Productivity Training (MS Office and SkillPort training). Select the link to see the offerings under each category. Under the New Employees heading you will find useful resources for new staff, and faculty including the college's security awareness program. For more detailed information on browsing and taking courses or workshops see the Browse Courses and Training tutorial. You can also search for courses using the search feature on the See What's New landing page.

Use the Select dropdown to filter your search by Subject, Type and Detail. ILT stands for Instructor Led Training and all face to face sessions are considered ILT sessions. Enter a keyword into the search box and click the Magnifying Glass icon to search for results.

The Quick Links dropdown provides access to tutorials, support and My Transcripts. My Transcripts is where you will find your progress and completions on courses and workshops as well as access certificates. For more detailed information on My Transcripts go to the How to View My Progress and Certificates tutorial. The View My Learning Plan link opens your learning plan area, where you can put courses and workshops you enroll in for easy access to the items that you are currently working on or enrolled in.

Under Upcoming Events is a link to all the face to face Instructor Led Training sessions (ILT). This provides quick access to only the Instructor Led Training sessions. For more detail about how to register for Instructor Led Training see the How to Enroll in Workshops tutorial. Featured Topics provides quick access to the featured headings in the content library. Select a heading then click the view button to go directly to that area of the learning management system.

At the bottom of the See What's New Page are highlighted courses and sessions. You can use the Detail link to see more detailed information about the course or session. Click Save to add the course or session to your learning plan area. Click Launch to launch the Skillsoft course.
