GOBLIN CAVE IN MARYLAND

INVADED BY EAA 4 OF COLLAGE PARK

THE

On May 8, 1928

the Goblin cave in

Maryland was invaded

by EAA 4 of Collage

park.

About 10 people got in

to the Goblin cave and

saw the Flitzer Goblin

project for the first

time. All enthusiastic

about the project but

some still skeptic about

building a old biplane!

always somehow manage

to solve the tasks, by

contacting

friends or the lead

designer of the Flitzer

aircrafts, the famous

Lynn Williams.

among old letters in an

suitcase which belonged

to Lt. Hermann Troll.

Drawings were studied on the big wall of Paper.

Metal strips and magnets are holding up the Drawings

or the paper is holding up the wall, can¡¯t remember!

The SSMS ¡°the Swedish Samurai¡¯s Miter Saw¡± in the background,

which was demonstrated and admired by the invaders or was it that the invaders

fled the Goblin cave in fear of the goblin, skillfully swinging the Swedish katana!

FLITZER DRAWINGS

MYSTERY AIRPLANE FOUND CLOSE TO COLLAGE PARK AIRFIELD.

An old airplane found on a close by field not to far from the

Collage park airfield. Looks like a tired old Fokker DVIII. Did

this aircraft ever fly or was it only a mock-up, it is hard to

tell. It does look very tail heavy and the wings looks somewhat to short. Maybe it was used for ground operations

only. The tail wheel arrangement is very strange. It is told to

us at die Flitzer Zeitung, that it would be more stable on the

ground! Maybe some of the readers know more about this

mysterious airplane? Unfortunately no drawings is to be

found, so it will be really difficult to make a replica or

model of this mysterious airplane. But someone of our readers may be up for the task!

(Perhaps it was a Trojan horse used by eaa 4! )
