Apparel Changes - Lands' End

Apparel Changes

The following apparel changes are now in effect:

1. Chase ties are now required for all men working in the branch including Tellers and SSAs (previously ties were only required for managers and bankers).

2.  Tellers will now get an annual allowance of Chase Apparel in the month of their service anniversary.

Why do I have to wear a tie?

Wearing a tie makes a great impression on our customers.  We want to continue to present the most professional image in the industry.

Why does the annual allowance only apply to Tellers?

Many Tellers have expressed concern about their ability to refresh their Chase Apparel consistently and they order much less frequently than other branch employees.  Supporting them with an allowance helps our Tellers maintain a professional appearance for customers.

I am a former Operations Supervisor and I’ve moved into a new role, will I still receive my apparel allowance?

The only job title that is entitled to the apparel allowance is the Teller.  If you’ve moved into a Teller role then yes, you will receive the allowance.  If you’ve moved into any other role, you are no longer eligible.

What is an apparel allowance?

An apparel allowance is a once a year paid allocation of selected Chase Apparel.

How many items are included in the apparel allowance and what does it include?

Men receive two shirts / sweaters + one Chase tie.

Women receive two shirts / sweaters + one Chase scarf (or one additional shirt).

Do I have to wear a Chase logo tie?

Yes, all ties must be from the Chase Apparel collection.

I am a female teller; do I have to wear a scarf?

Chase scarves are optional for women.

Are the apparel allowance items available through both Lands’ End and TwinHill?

Items for the apparel allowance are from Lands’ End only.  They can be ordered on the “Company Paid” section of the online site.

My service anniversary is in January; do I have to wait until next year for my allowance?

For 2010 only, employees with a service anniversary date in January, February, March or April will receive their apparel allowance in April.  In subsequent years, they’ll receive their allowance in the month of their service anniversary.

I was hired in February of 2010, will I receive an allowance in April?

Those employees hired in January, February, March or April of 2010 will not be receiving the annual allowance, they will receive their initial new hire allowance.  In 2011 they will then be eligible to receive the annual allowance in the respective month of their anniversary.

When can I begin to order my apparel allowance?

Orders can be placed now if your service anniversary date falls between January – April.

What is my service anniversary date?

The service anniversary date is the recognized service date that is used to calculate the number of years an employee has worked for JPMorgan Chase or any company acquired by JPMC.  This date is used to determine vacation, leave of absence and service recognition. This date may not match any other dates if an employee was re-hired by JPMC or any of it’s existing banks at any time.

To locate your recognized service anniversary date, follow the below steps off of the Company Homepage:

• HR and Personal

• Pay and Personal Information (under Quick Links on the right hand side)

• Enter in SID / Password

• Select Personal Information from Select Transaction

• Recognized Service is located under Employee Information at the bottom of the page

Your recognized service month is also listed when logging into the company paid section of the Lands’ End website.

My service anniversary date is in November, and I am a male teller; will I receive a free tie before then?

Both Lands End and Twin Hill will be offering discounts and promotions on apparel during selected times throughout the year. You can purchase a variety of Chase ties through both Lands' End and TwinHill many of which cost less than $20.  Your annual allowance will then be available to order in November.

I live in a state that requires an annual allowance (CA, CO, NV, UT, WA), do all employees receive the annual allowance?

Yes, if you live in one of the above listed states, all employees in the branch receive an annual allowance during the month of their service anniversary.

New Hire Apparel

Does Chase provide any apparel to new hires to get them started?

Yes! All new hires are provided an initial supply of Chase Apparel to get their wardrobe started. They’ll choose a number of complimentary items from a core collection of Chase Apparel provided exclusively by Lands’ End.

How many apparel items does Chase provide for newly hired branch employees?

New hires in the Classic program (Assistant Branch Managers, Tellers, SSAs, SSSs) can choose FIVE complimentary items from the core collection provided exclusively by Lands’ End.  For men, one of the items must be a Chase tie.

New hires in the Professional program (Branch Managers, Personal Bankers, PFRs) can choose FOUR complimentary items. For men, one of the items must be a Chase tie.

How many complimentary items are new-hire part-time employees allowed?

There's no difference. Employees in the Classic program receive five items and employees in the Professional program receive four, regardless of whether they're full-time or part-time.

I have a new employee who tried to order his apparel and was denied. What could the problem be?

To allow time for a new hire's employment information to be loaded into the Lands' End site, new employees should try to order their complimentary Chase apparel items 1 - 2 days after their start date.

I was re-hired; will I receive a new hire allowance?

If you were re-hired by the bank after 6 months of leaving, you are entitled to the new hire allowance.  If you returned in less than 6 months, you are not eligible for the new hire allowance.

Dress Code / General

How can I make sure I get the right size?

You’ll find fit guidelines in the Lands’ End and TwinHill online catalogs. Lands’ End offers many styles in Petite, Tall and Plus, as well as maternity shirts. Men can choose from Regular, Tall and Big. You can also talk to a customer service rep. at either company. For Lands’ End, call (800) 748-7980. For TwinHill, call (866) 429-1018.

Can I wear my own apparel?

You can wear your own black pants, skirts and suiting. Our Lands’ End and TwinHill sites also offer many items in black at a discount. All other clothing, including ties, scarves and dresses, must be from the Chase Apparel collection.

Should sales partners wear Chase apparel?

Mortgage Loan Officers and Business Bankers should wear Chase apparel, following the same dress code guidelines as Branch Managers. Chase apparel is recommended but optional for Chase Investments partners.

I’m in the Classic program but would like to wear a suit. Is this OK?

Absolutely! If you’re in the Classic program but would like to step it up every so often and wear a suit or other styles in the Professional program, you are welcome to do so.

I’m in the Professional program but don’t want to wear a suit every day. Is this OK?

We want to project an image of professionalism and trust as customers talk to us about their financial assets. That's why suits are strongly required for the professional program. However, you do have some alternatives for less formal days. Women may opt for a Chase logo sweater set, Chase logo cardigan or Chase logo sweater vest instead of a jacket. Men may choose a Chase logo sweater or vest with a tie underneath. It’s also okay to remove your black jacket while working in the branch.

Can I wear other colors besides black pants or skirts?

Black is the only color employees may pair with Chase apparel. It was selected for pants, skirts and suiting because it’s universal, easy to maintain and easy to find. Having all employees in black also helps support a consistent brand experience in all branches across the country.

Do shirts have to be tucked in?

Men’s button-up shirts have an uneven hem and must be tucked in. Women’s shirts that have neat, even hems may be worn tucked or untucked.

Are men required to wear a tie?

Ties are required for all men working in the branch.

Can I wear my own accessories, like holiday pins or jeweled broaches?

You may wear your own accessories. However, we ask that they be kept minimal, professional and tasteful. If you have any doubt about whether an accessory is too much, ask your manager.

Where should my name tag be worn?

Your Chase name tag should be worn on the right side of your shirt, jacket or sweater.

For women, are there skirt, pants and suit options through the Chase Apparel program?

You may wear your own black skirt, pants or suit OR you may purchase elegant, tailored suiting separates from either Lands’ End or TwinHill at discounted pricing.

Does Chase offer maternity shirts, and if so, will I be required to purchase?

Yes, both Lands' End and TwinHill offer maternity shirts.  The employee must purchase the maternity items; they are not complimentary.

May I wear Chase apparel outside the branch for everyday purposes?

Chase apparel is for business purposes only, and is not intended to replace your everyday, regular clothes. However, it’s OK if you’re wearing it while running errands right before or after work.

Can Chase Apparel be donated?

Chase Apparel may not be donated or resold.  Apparel that is gently worn may be dry cleaned and distributed to others in the District or Market if necessary.

If apparel is worn or damaged, the items must be destroyed by cutting out the Chase logo or marking it out with permanent ink.

I returned an item that didn’t fit.  Will I receive a credit?

Yes, for employee paid orders, your return will be refunded to the credit card that was used for payment.  Company paid items must be exchanged for size only.  If did not receive the refund after your initial return, please contact the vendor you purchased the item from and they will issue you the proper credit.

Returns & Exchanges

Before returning an apparel item, be sure to confirm which vendor you ordered it from. Any clothing mailed to the wrong vendor will be returned to the employee.

Employees are responsible for the cost of shipping a return to Lands’ End or TwinHill. If you request an exchange (e.g. new size or different item), Lands’ End will not charge you shipping on the new item that is sent back to you. TwinHill will charge shipping on an exchange, unless there was a shipping error (e.g. wrong item was sent) or a product defect.

Lands’ End Returns & Exchanges

To return an order to Lands' End, use the Order Summary Form enclosed with your order. Fill in the reason code for the return. If you would like a replacement item, include that information on the reverse side of the form. Replacement items are sent to you at no additional shipping charge. Cut and paste only the "return label" on the package that will be returned. The "sold to" information to the left of the return label should not be included.

If you have any questions, contact Lands’ End at (800) 748-7980.

NOTE: For Company Paid orders, (new hire / annual allowance) exchanges can ONLY be made for the same item (e.g. the same shirt but in a different size).
