HIGH SCHOOL WORKSHOPS

Workshop Title: Rolling with the Punches

Level: HS

WD: This workshop is here to help you roll with the punches and deal with mishaps in your Student Government and to teach you effective ways to overcome them.  Every organization faces roadblocks, so my workshop is here to help you learn the skills necessary to surpass them.

Workshop Title: Sweetening your Student Council

Level: HS

WD: With our tips and tricks to sweetening your student council, you can improve your school’s student council and make your student council and school better overall. Throughout our workshop, you will learn to balance work and fun in your student council. With our creative and interactive activities, you will be ready to take our advice and ideas back to your student council and improve everything you can to sweeten your student council.

Workshop Title: Be a Last Minute Lucy

Level: HS

WD: This workshop is about procrastinating and ways to prevent it. We will teach kids how to manage time wisely and how to reduce stress by getting things done early.

WD: "Impossible actually says, 'I'm possible'" so come, be determined, and enjoy some fun with chairs, marbles and oh yea CANDY!!!!!!!

Workshop Title: Organization 101

WD: This workshop is a way for students to learn the basics of being organized. Many students often forget when they have meetings or when projects are due because they can’t remember everything. When they attend this workshop they will learn different techniques that will help them become less forgetful.

Workshop Title: Motivation, Determination, Reaching-a-Goal-ation

Level: Both MS and HS

WD: This workshop will motivate you to succeed in life and to accomplish all of your life goals. You will be screaming "I AM MOTIVATED" and "I WILL NEVER GIVE UP" by the end of this workshop, we promise. Not only will you learn valuable life lessons, but you will also learn how to set short and long-term goals and stick to them through motivation and determination skills that will last a lifetime.

Workshop Title: GO TEAM GO!!

Level: Both MS and HS

WD: "GO TEAM GO!!" aims to strengthen delegates' teamwork skills and have a blast! Delegates will engage in simulations, games, discussions, and lots of candy-eating to discover the topic of teamwork! See you there!

MIDDLE SCHOOL WORKSHOPS

Workshop Title: Find the Power of L.A.U.G.H.S. for communication

Level: MS

WD: Come gain the superpower of communication.  You will learn the power of L.A.U.G.H.S and how to improve communication both within and outside of your council.  You will leave as a superhero for your council.

Workshop Title: Teamwork for DumDums

Level: MS

WD: Do you want to ski inside or maybe build a tower at this year’s spring  conference? Well then come to Teamwork for Dumdums and do these activities and more all while perfecting and polishing you’re teamwork skills. With a little help from dumdums!

Workshop Title: The Fairies of Fundraising

Level: MS

WD: The Fairies of Fundraising is a workshop in which members will see how to set-up, organize, and conduct a fundraiser. This particular story takes the participants through the plans of a frantic middle schooler who seeks help from two magical fairies. This fun, high energy, presentation is sure to help any person in need of some guidance when planning a fundraiser.

Workshop Title: The Different Colors of Solving Problems

Workshop Title: Stress Relief

WD: An entertaining workshop that will help you to alleviate stress in your life and understand what stress is all about. It will feature yoga, music, and interactive activities. Join our enthusiastic presenters for an amusing, helpful presentation on stress relief--plus we have candy!

Workshop Title: Bring a Smile to a Soldier

Level: MS

WD: In our workshop Bring A Smile to A Soldier we will be explaining “5 things to thank a soldier for”, do’s and don’ts – in writing letters to soldiers, how to use the anysoldier website to pick soldiers, how to fill out those USPS boxes and custom forms, and some ideas on how to start a Bring A Smile to A Soldier program at your school.

Workshop Title: Public Speaking

WD: Our workshop is about overcoming public speaking. Public speaking isn't as scary as it looks, and with our tricks we will help you become more comfortable with speaking in front of large groups of people.

Workshop Title: Connecting the Puzzle Pieces of Teamwork

WD: Want to improve your Student Council?  Do it with Teamwork.  This puzzle-themed workshop will teach you the valuable skills of teamwork, and connect with others.

Workshop: Building a Better Binder: Getting Organized Fast!

WD: This is a workshop on organization that will help you understand your personal organizational issues, as well as your council’s issues. It will show you how to become organized in a hands-on manner, with an extremely upbeat environment. This will allow you to go back to your council and help get and keep yourself and your council organized and efficient.
