We sometimes pass judgment upon those we love and interact with every day. We too often overlook those in need of Your love because it is not easy or does not fit into our schedule. Help us to love our neighbors, friends, and family and to not ignore those who are different from us or in need. Encourage us to open our hearts, to love each other, and to love ourselves more fully and without reservation. Forgive us and strengthen us to be faithful and loving servants of Christ. Solos: Olivia Bell, Kobe Wheeler *Doxology Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow The Celebration Hymnal, p. 815 Offertory Prayer Quinton Wright*Affirmation of Faith Dylan Barnes-Gross We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through Him all things were made. For us and for our salvation He came down from heaven, was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered death and was buried. On the third day He rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; He ascended into heaven and is seated on the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen. One way is by providing rice and beans to them.? We give each family two gallon size bags of rice and one gallon size bag of beans.? You may have heard the story told on this past Easter Sunday about delivering rice and beans and one of the bags of beans falling out on the road.? A mother with 3 children on a motorcycle stopped and was picking up every single bean off the dirty, gravel road.? We have a hungry world, and Belize is no different.? We currently have 45 families in Los Tambos to bless with rice and beans.? So far, we have raised enough money to feed 15 families. Please consider making a donation to help us feed all of the families. It only takes $20 to provide rice and beans to one struggling family. Our visits to deliver the rice and beans also opens a door for Belize Team members to bring the families closer to God by praying with them. It is in these moments that we learn of serious health concerns and other struggles and gain the trust of the families.? Thank you for supporting FCPC's Belize Ministry!Picnic in the Park - Please join us following the 11:00 worship service on Sunday, May 18 (2 weeks) for a church-wide celebration in Fountain City Park. ?We will have a potluck family picnic! ?Last names ending in A - H please bring a side dish or dessert, and I - Z bring an entree or protein dish. ?(These are just suggestions.) ?This was a fun event last fall. ?We hope this spring will have awesome weather and to see everyone there! ?Picnic-easy dress for church service is encouraged.Sunday School Promotion and Open House is Sunday, May 18 during the Sunday School hour in the Sanctuary.
