Prior to joining CUNA, Trey served as the Louisiana Democratic Party’s Finance Director during the 2003 state and 2004 federal elections, raising nearly $6 million for the party and its candidates and directing overall fundraising strategy for the coordinated campaign efforts that elected a Governor, four of the other five statewide office holders, and a U.S. Congressman. Trey also managed a campaign for Illinois Lieutenant Governor and directed campaign finance strategy for three nationally-targeted U.S. House campaigns in Illinois, Tennessee and Iowa.

A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Trey holds a B.A. in History and American Politics & Policy from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He resides with his wife, three children and chocolate lab in Arlington, Virginia.
