If you are currently in Afghanistan, please check the U.S. Embassy website regularly for information about relocation and repatriation. You may also contact the federal U.S. Department of State directly at: usrapafghaninquiries@.

If you have an approved I-360 petition (SIV ? Special Immigrant Visa), Contact the National Visa Center (NVC) if you have questions regarding your case status at NVCSIV@ or 1-603-334-0700. Public inquires to the NVC are directed to the federal U.S. Department of State's inquiry form found on the Travel. (TSG) website . The response time can vary depending on the request, volume of inquiries, and other factors The following is a link to the TSG website, with a list of all the Immigrant Visa processing posts. It contains the post specific interview instructions: travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/list-of-posts.html.

If you or a family member are eligible for the new Priority 2 (P-2) program for Afghan nationals, individuals may be eligible for resettlement in the United States with family members under the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP). You may find additional information about the USRAP Priority 2 designation for Afghan nationals here: https:// siv-iraqi-syrian-afghan-p2/.

If your family members are ineligible for SIV or P2, according to the US State Department, such individuals may apply for resettlement under the Priority 1 (P-1) program by virtue of their circumstances and apparent need for resettlement. Individuals may be referred to the P-1 program by the UNHCR, a US Embassy, or a designated NGO.

Additionally, for people who are not eligible for SIVs or for any other kind of visa, the United States does have an exceptional program called humanitarian parole. It requires both a financial sponsor in the U.S. and evidence of exceptional humanitarian need. IRAP has a guide explaining the basics of this process available here: https:// support.hc/en-us/articles/360057037651 The International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) also has legal resources to help with visas and other information
