Delle was a clinger and when she was rebuffed, she made humiliating public scenes. Neither woman was easy to live with, and their relationship ended in bitterness. After moving to CA, she lectured on women's issues, labor and social policy, and wrote stories and poetry, including the account of her breakdown in "The Yellow Wallpaper" (1892). ................
