Meet at the Show site at 9am for the 23rd Anniversary Historical Pensacola Driving Tour

The Historic driving tour will end at about 10:30 at the

National Naval Aviation Museum [pic]‎

You can lunch in the Cubie Bar and wander through the museum.

After lunch there will be a tour available of Fort Barrancas at 1:00 pm

At 3:00 to 5:00 pm we are invited to Henry Hensel’s Home to see his collection of Eclectic Americana

Our Welcome party starts at 6:00 pm at the

PBCA 23rd Anniversary Historical Pensacola Driving Tour

Meet at Show site. S Tenth Ave and E Colfax St.

Reset your trip odometer as approximate mileage readings are provided as part of the instructions.

Go South on 10th Ave. Straight ahead at the second stop sign (.1 mile) is Veterans Memorial Park.

Turn left on Romana, then left on Bayfront (stay in the left lane). On your right you will pass the Muscogee Wharf Subdivision.

At second light (.7 miles) turn left on 17th Ave. You will cross under the 17th Avenue railroad trestle (more commonly called the graffiti bridge) Turn right at first light (1.2 miles) on Cervantes St. Cross Bayou Texar (Dr. Philip A Payne Bridge).

Turn right at first light (1.9 miles) on Perry Ave. Jerry’s Drive In.

Turn right at yield sign ( 2.1 miles) onto Chipley Ave.

Turn right on Bayou Blvd. Bear left on Bayou Blvd. at the split (Intersection of Stanley and Jackson)

Turn left on Cervantes (2.5 miles).

Stay on Cervantes and you will pass the Coffee Cup on your right (3.9 miles), continue to N. Palafox (4.3 miles).

Turn left on N. Palafox. Lee Square (Confederate Dead Monument) will be on your left and (4.7 miles) the Christ Episcopal Church will be on your right

Continue on Palafox to the intersection of Palafox and Garden. You will pass Martin Luther King Park and the 9-11 Monument to your left and the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel on your right.

Turn left on Garden (4.9 miles).

Turn right at the first light on Jefferson (5 miles).

At the third stop sign, turn left of Government (5.2 miles). Seville Quarter

Turn right at first stop sign on Tarragona (5.3 miles). Historic Pensacola Village.

Turn left on Zaragoza (5.4 miles). Corner of Adams and Zaragoza you will see Christ Church on the left and Pensacola Bay Brewery in on your right.

Turn left at stop sign on Alcaniz. (5.6 miles)

Turn right on Government (5.7 miles). More historic homes, many converted to businesses.

Turn left on Cevallos (5.9 miles)..

Turn left on Romano (6.0 miles), going around the clock, staying on Romano. Aragon Project

Turn right at first stop sign on N. Alcaniz (6.2 miles). You will pass St. Michael’s Cemetery on your right.

At the first light (6.5 miles)turn left on E. Gregory. Old L&N Depot, now lobby of Crowne Plaza

At third light (6.9 miles) turn left on Palafox. Stay on Palafox at Garden St (7.0 miles) from the center lane you will cross the following streets: Garden, Romana, Intendencia, Government, Zaragoza and East Main. Many Music, Theater, and Art Gallery venues. You will pass The old Court House on you right and Plaza Ferdinand VII and Jackson’s both of which are on your left.

You will come to Plaza DeLuna (7.8 miles) Round the round about at the Plaza and turn right on Jefferson as you exit, passing the (7.9 miles) Port of Pensacola on your right.

Turn left on Pine (8.0 miles).

Turn right on Palafox (8.1miles)

Turn left on West Main (8.3 miles). Maritime Park (8.5miles), Blue Whaoos AA Baseball, Joe Patti’s (will be on your left at 9.0 miles).

Turn left at the Y (9.7 miles) on Barrancas. Cross Bayou Chico (old drawbridge would have been to the left of the current bridge). Pass the Pensacola Country Club Golf course (ll.7 miles) on your left.

IF YOU ARE DRIVING THIS TOUR LATER IN THE DAY AND GOING STRAIGHT TO HENRY’S AT 3PM TURN TO THE LAST PAGE NOW!

To go to the Museum now- turn left at Navy Blvd.(12.6 miles)

Continue to the NAS Pensacola Main Gate (14.0 miles) ALL CAR OCCUPANTS WILL NEED PHOTO ID.

Stay right as you leave the gate you are now on Duncan Rd and you will pass the golf courses.

Turn right at the second light on Taylor (14.8 miles) . You will pass Barrancas National Cemetery (15.3 miles) and on the right Ft Redoubt (15.8 miles) then the Ft Barrancas entrance on the left (16.2 miles) Stay Right on Taylor (16.4 miles)

Turn right into Museum (16.6 miles) Stay right and pass the parking to park on the grass past the entrance doors (16.8 miles).

You can lunch in the Cubie Bar and wander through the museum.

Turn right out of the Museum on Taylor (.1 miles) On your left you will pass the Pensacola Light house (.2 miles) and see Pensacola Pass (1.0 miles)

Continue to the West Gate and exit NAS Pensacola (2.8 miles) You are now on Blue Angel Parkway. Stay on Blue Angel you will cross Sorento Rd (4.7 miles) US 98 (8.0miles) Lillian Hwy (9.6 miles) to Scotland Rd. (11.6 miles)

Turn left on Scotland Rd. (BEWARE OF THE TWO SPEED BUMPS!!!!!)

Turn right on Turkey Rd. (11.9 miles) TOUR DESTINATION AT THE HENSEL HOME (12 miles) 5625 Turkey Rd. It will be on your left.

TO RETURN TO THE SHOW SITE

Leave Henry’s by returning to Turkey Rd, left on Scotland, then right back on Blue Angel.

Stay on Blue Angel to US 98 ( 4.1miles) turn left on US 98 pass the Navy Hospital on the left (6.8 miles) the VA Clinic (7.2 miles) at the T turn left on Navy Blvd (8.1 miles)

Stay right and bear right to stay on Navy Blvd (8.3 miles) as you cross Pace Blvd (10.7 miles) you are now on Garden St. Turn left on Palafox (12.3 miles) and right at Chase St (12.4 miles)

Turn right on 9th Ave (13.0 miles) and left at Colfax (13.2 Miles)

IF YOU ARE DRIVING THIS TOUR LATER IN THE DAY AND GOING STRAIGHT TO HENRY’S AT 3PM

Stay in the center lane and continue through the light, you are now on Old Gulf Beach Hwy, Continue through the first light at Fairfield Dr (14.5 miles) and the second light at Gulf Beach Hwy (17.0 miles). You are now on Sorento.

Turn right on Blue Angel Parkway (17.8 miles)

Stay on Blue Angel to Scotland (24.6 miles).

Turn left on Scotland Rd. (BEWARE OF THE TWO SPEED BUMPS!!!!!)

Turn right on Turkey Rd. (24.9 miles) TOUR DESTINATION AT THE HENSEL HOME (25 miles) 5625 Turkey Rd. It will be on your left.

Go to Palafox and turn left (.9 miles)

Turn right at Garden St 2nd light (1.1 miles)

As you cross Pace Blvd (2.7 miles) you are now on Navy Blvd. (Same road , just a new name-Welcome to Pensacola) turn left at the Y (5.1 miles) (new road, but the same name) you are on Navy Blvd.

Turn Right at the first light on to US 98 West (5.3 miles)

Turn right on Blue Angel Parkway (9.3 miles)

Stay on Blue Angel to Scotland (13.1 miles).

Turn left on Scotland Rd. (BEWARE OF THE TWO SPEED BUMPS!!!!!)
