1. Meeting called to order by president DeCouteau at 6:14 P.M.

2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Motion #11.07.18-01 Motion by Isbell, second by Thunderhawk to approve the agenda Motion carried with all members voting yes.

3. RECOGNITION OF AUDIENCE A signup sheet is provided for the audience. This meeting is open to the public, but it is not a public forum. The primary focus of the meeting is the business listed on the agenda. Please be assured that board members welcome all in attendance.)

4. CONSENT AGENDA Motion #11.07.18-02 Motion by Tikanye, second by Red Tomahawk to approve the consent agenda Motion carried with all members voting yes.

New Hires Motion #11.07.18-04 by Thunderhawk, second by Isbell to hire Shaun Henderson as the head boys basketball coach and Lee Vetter as the assistant boys basketball coach Motion carried with Kelly voting no. Motion #11.07.18-05 by Isbell, second by Uses Arrow to hire Shawna One Horn as a para-professional at Cannon Ball Elementary Motion carried with all members voting yes.

Motion #11.07.18-06 by Isbell, second by Thunderhawk to hire Susan Kooch as the Solen School District business manager Motion carried with DeCouteau, Red Tomahawk and Kelly voting no. 2. IRS Payments QTR 1,2,3 for 2018 Motion #11.07.18-07 by Uses Arrow, second by Thunderhawk to approve IRS payments for QTR 1,2, and 3 for 2018 Motion carried with all members voting yes. 3. Superintendent Evaluation and Approval Motion #11.07.18-08 by Red Tomahawk, second by Tikanye to approve the superintendent evaluation summary rating Satisfactory: Goals and Vision Setting Motion carried with Kelly not voting. Motion #11.07.18-09 by Uses Arrow, second by Red Tomahawk to approve the superintendent evaluation summary rating Satisfactory: Board Relations Motion carried with Kelly not voting. Motion #11.07.18-10 by Tikanye, second by Uses Arrow to approve the superintendent evaluation summary rating Satisfactory: Human Resource Management Motion carried with Kelly not voting. Motion #11.07.18-11 by Uses Arrow, second by Tikanye to approve the superintendent evaluation summary rating Satisfactory: Curriculum and Student Support Services Motion carried with Kelly not voting. Motion carried with Kelly not voting. 4. Policy Updates Motion #11.07.18-14 by Isbell, second by Thunderhawk to accept the first reading of the IDC-E Security Breach Procedures Motion carried with all members voting yes. 5. State Bonding Agency- FYI by Mr. Fryer shared that all the required paperwork is

filed to the State Bonding Agency 6. School Wide Programs and Staff Professional Development- FYI by Mr. Fryer

regarding the following school wide programs and professional development opportunities:

a. Avera E-Care for Mental Health Support b. National NBC News is interested in a story on Solen High School and the

increased graduation rate; they have contacted Mr. Fryer, Mrs. Feldman and talked to a student at Solen High School c. UPSTART Program- early intervention program that will provide 20 4-year old students access to the intervention program at home; the program will provide the home with internet, a Chromebook to complete the program, and an online coach

d. Apple Connect Ed Training- four staff members are attending this innovative training

e. Mr. Fryer shared a summary of innovation initiatives at Solen High School and Cannon Ball Elementary that he wrote for Governor Bergum's upcoming innovation website.
