Community Employment Centers

The Community Employment Center is a program of Goodwill Industries of San Diego County that provides free employment services to residents of San Diego County who are looking for a job, or a better job.

You must be

? Serious about finding a job right now in San Diego County.

? At least 18 years of age

? Able to work in the U.S.A. legally (proof of citizenship or immigration status required)

? People with a history of/or conviction related to violence are not eligible for Goodwill Employment Center services. (Example: assault, battery, domestic violence, spousal or child abuse or molestation, etc.)

Yes we can! Ticket to Work is designed to gradually ease you back into the workforce, part time or full time, without losing all of your benefits!

And as a Ticket to Work "Employment Network" Goodwill can help you achieve your goals. We can help with career assessment, job applications, creating or updating your resume, teaching and helping you with job searching, interviewing, and vocational skills- and it's all free with your SSI or SSDI Ticket to Work!

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF SAN DIEGO COUNTY IS A REGISTERED EMPLOYMENT NETWORK.

As such we are authorized to work within the Ticket to Work program provided for individuals who receive SSI or SSDI and who wish either to return to work or begin working for the first time. All SSI and SSDI recipients have access to a Ticket to Work. With it, Goodwill can provide you with free employment services leading to the start of your new career.

ELIGIBILITY

To qualify, you must be

We work with you to discover what you need to do to help prepare you and put you on a road to a brighter future. Together, we will build a plan that suits your needs, in stages, which will allow you to return to work at a comfortable pace, learning new job skills as you proceed.

? Access to educational and training resources

? Employment advocacy

? Job club

? Receiving SSI or SSDI benefits

? Unrestricted by medical injury or condition to work

? Serious about finding long term employment in San Diego County.

? At least 18 and under 65 years of age

? Able to work in the U.S.A. legally (proof of citizenship or immigration status required)

? Free of a conviction related to violence. (Example: assault, battery, domestic violence, spousal or child abuse or molestation, etc.)
