Easter Egg Hunt---Saturday, March 23 at 1:00 P.M. Kids bring your Easter baskets to the open space at Tanglewood Road and Deerpath Trail for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. There will be three age groups and we will give an Easter basket filled with special treats for the child that finds the golden egg for each age group. Kids please dress warmly, bring your own baskets, and remember that your parents must accompany you! In case of rain or snow, visit our website or check the subdivision entrance signs for information regarding any changes. If rescheduled, the date would be for the following Saturday, March 30 at 1:00 pm.

Bannockburn Needs You! We welcome any of our neighbors to attend one of our board meetings and meet the board members. Participation on the board is a wonderful opportunity to provide a service to your community to uphold the BHOA covenants and the common goal of maintaining the integrity of our neighborhood. Any of our board members would love to talk to you about the vacancies. Board positions are open and they need to be filled. Time to make a difference.

Community Garage Sale: Contact J.T. Patterson at 303-827-4969 or Bannockburn@ if you are interested in participating in a community garage sale, tentatively planned for May 3-5th.  Volunteers are needed to create and post signs at the entrances and at the main intersections around town.

Annual Summer Community Picnic---August 17 at 2:00 P.M. Mark your calendars for the community picnic. Details to follow in our Summer newsletter.

Seedling Tree Program 2013: The Douglas County Conservation District is the cooperator for the Colorado State Forest Service Seedling Tree Program. This program is available to landowners with one or more acres and these trees are sold for conservation plantings such as windbreaks/living snow fence, wildlife habitat, erosion control, reforestation, Christmas trees, visual screen, noise barriers, etc. This is a great opportunity for Douglas County landowners to purchase seedling trees at a nominal cost. Visit the Bannockburn website for information of all services provided by the Douglas County Conservation District, the seedling tree program, and to download an order form.

Welcome Committee: Neighbors, when my wife and I moved into the community we were blessed to have caring neighbors who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and get us up to speed on everything from starting trash service to finding the best local restaurants.  The Bannockburn HOA board members hope that everyone moving into our community are treated the same way.  At the last board meeting a resolution was approved to form a welcoming committee who will assemble greeting baskets and deliver them to the new homeowners.  If you would like to participate in deciding the content, assembling and distribution of these baskets please contact J.T. Patterson (303-827-4969, Bannockburn@. Who knows, you may be greeting your next best friend.

Let’s Keep Bannockburn Beautiful!  The Bannockburn HOA is looking for volunteers to join the Bannockburn Beautification Committee to help organize events for keeping our neighborhood pristine.  Events and activities may include trash pick-up and landscape clean-up days (all ideas are welcome).  Please contact J.T. Patterson at 303-827-4969 or Bannockburn@ for more information.

Bunco Babes in Bannockburn!  Hey ladies of Bannockburn, (sometimes a husband or two will join us) each month someone within Bannockburn or a close by neighbor, hosts Bunco night and we'd love to have you join us. Bring $5 dollars, a dish to share, and get ready to have some chatting, meeting and greeting, time with your neighbors over a game that anyone can learn in half a second. Please email Amy@ or call 303 619-1339 and let me know if you'd like to join us.

Recycling: Looking for recycling options? There is a recycling center located on school district property at 701 Prairie Hawk Drive in Castle Rock that is open to the public every Saturday from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.  Douglas County residents can drop off their cardboard, newspaper, aluminum cans, glass and certain plastics into four large bins near the school district’s west support center. The recycling center is staffed by volunteers.

BHOA Monthly Meetings: Bannockburn’s homeowner board meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month. The community is always invited and welcome to attend any of these meetings. Contact any board member for the location of the monthly meeting as the location changes each month.
