Undergraduate Intern in Neurosurgery Department

• Shadowed one of seven neurosurgeons each day in both clinic duty and OR.

• Observed two spinal laminectomies, two lobectomies (one of the entire left temporal lobe lobectomy), and three spinal fusions.

• Assisted surgeons in daily hospital routine.

Caritas Norwood Hospital, Norwood, MA (May-August 2007)

Undergraduate Intern in Multiple Departments

• Spent each day at Cardiology, Radiology, Pathology, OR, ICU, and ER.

• Prepared slides in the frozen section and analyzing and identifying different kinds of cancers in different regions of the body.

PROJECTS: Plasma Speaker - Constructed a high power plasma speaker. Currently developing ways to increase efficiency and clarity to produce a marketable and efficient product, free from the main cons of a plasma speaker. (ozone creation and radio disturbance)

68HCS12 Microprocessor Maze Game – Implemented a maze game on an 8x8 LED display using Assembly programming on the 68HCS12 Microprocessor.

SSI/MSI Skier Implementation Game – Implemented a skier game using 8x8 LED display and SSI/MSI logic.

Speaker Project – Designed and constructed a speaker out of everyday materials with a team of three colleagues.

COMMITMENTS: TUFTS MEN’S VARSITY SQUASH TEAM (Fall 2007 – Present)

-St. Mark’s School #1 Ranked player – Captain junior and senior year.

-Third year on varsity ladder.
