Summary Statement: Please provide a brief description for how the analyzed data will impact your Inquiry and Action Planning process.

Triggs is currently ranked a five star school based on the Nevada School Performance Framework. According to the official 2016-2017 NDE Validation Day data, our student population consists of Asian (5.7%), African American (20.02%), White/Caucasian (34.68%), Hispanic/Latino (24.91%), Native American (0.73%), Multi-race (11.84%), Pacific Islander (2.08%), IEP (10.81%), and LEP (4.5%) with a total of 823 students.

Data from school wide surveys, SBAC, CRT, and NAA testing were analyzed and revealed a need to examine school practices with regard to developing fundamental literacy and math skills, and providing direct instruction in character education. In addition, school survey data revealed a need to examine parent involvement practices. SBAC data analysis: Overall proficiency rates for reading/math: 3rd- 59.71%/62.32% 4th- 62.50%/32.81% 5th- 61.29%/35.48% AIMSweb data analysis: Overall proficiency for Fall 2016 Benchmark for reading(RCBM) and math (MCOMP): 2nd-65%/80%, 3rd-67/65% 4th-66%/69%, 5th-63%/59%; for kinder (LSF) and (NIM)75%/70%, and for 1st grade (RCBM) and (NIM)-85%/50% WIDA: the percentage of students in each overall CPL: 1-2: 7.5%, 2.1-3: 7.5%, 3.1-4: 12.5%, 4.1-5:2: 35%, 5.1-6: 37.5% Our goals to increase these areas are outlined in our plan.

Measurable Objective 1: Increase the percent of 3rd grade students proficient in reading from 60% to 70% by 2017 as measured by state assessments.

Measurable Objective 2: Increase the percent of African American 3rd grade students proficient in reading from 43% to 55% by 2017 as measured by state assessments.

Measurable Objective 3: Increase the percent of 3rd grade students with an IEP proficient in reading from 26.67% to 37% by 2017 as measured by state assessments.
