Song 1 Hosanna Loud Hosanna

Verse 1 Hosanna, loud hosanna, the little children sang; through pillared court and temple the lovely anthem rang. To Jesus, who had blessed them close folded to his breast, the children sang their praises, the simplest and the best

Verse 2 From Olivet they followed mid an exultant crowd, the victor palm branch waving, and chanting clear and loud. The Lord of earth and heaven rode on in lowly state, nor scorned that little children should on his bidding wait.

Verse 3 "Hosanna in the highest!" that ancient song we sing, for Christ is our Redeemer, the Lord of heaven our King. O may we ever praise him with heart and life and voice, and in his blissful presence eternally rejoice!

Song 2 Hosanna

I see the King of Glory, coming down the clouds with fire The whole earth shakes, the whole earth shakes I see His love and mercy, washing over all our sin The people sing, the people sing

Hosanna, hosanna Hosanna in the highest Hosanna, hosanna Hosanna in the highest

I see a generation, rising up to take the place With selfless faith, with selfless faith I see a near revival, stirring as we pray and seek We're on our knees, we're on our knees

Heal my heart and make it clean Open up my eyes to the things I see Show me how to love like You have loved me Break my heart for what breaks Yours Everything I am for Your Kingdom's cause As I walk from earth into eternity

Hosanna, hosanna Hosanna in the highest Hosanna, hosanna Hosanna in the highest

Scripture ? Zechariah 9:9-10, Luke 19:28-39

Zechariah 9:9-10

Rejoice greatly, O daughter Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter Jerusalem!

Lo, your king comes to you; triumphant and victorious is he,

humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

He will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the war-horse from Jerusalem;

and the battle bow shall be cut off, and he shall command peace to the nations;

his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

Luke 19:28-39

After he had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.

When he had come near Bethphage and Bethany, at the place called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of the disciples, saying, "Go into the village ahead of you, and as you enter it you will find tied there a colt that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, `Why are you untying it?' just say this, `The Lord needs it.'" So those who were sent departed and found it as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, "Why are you untying the colt?" They said, "The Lord needs it." Then they brought it to Jesus; and after throwing their cloaks on the colt, they set Jesus on it. As he rode along, people kept spreading their cloaks on the road. As he was now approaching the path down from the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the deeds of power that they had seen, saying,

"Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!

Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest heaven!"

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, "Teacher, order your disciples to stop."

Song 3 Jesus, Keep Me Near the Cross

1. Jesus, keep me near the cross; there a precious fountain, free to all, a healing stream, flows from Calvary's mountain.

Refrain: In the cross, in the cross, be my glory ever, till my raptured soul shall find rest beyond the river.

2. Near the cross, a trembling soul, love and mercy found me; there the bright and morning star sheds its beams around me. (Refrain)

3. Near the cross! O Lamb of God, bring its scenes before me; help me walk from day to day with its shadow o'er me. (Refrain)
