Boat Description

The boat has a white hull with a royal blue stripe and a cream deck. The furling genoa UV cover and the boom cover are also royal blue. There is an aluminium white-painted radar arch, which carries the radar antenna, the chartplotter antenna, and the GPS antenna. A fresh water shower is built into the radar arch. Part of the bimini frame carries three solar panels. There is a swimming boarding ladder on the sugar scope. There are a gas locker and a life raft locker in the cockpit. The windlass is situated in a sunken locker. The hull with keel and skeg form one moulded part to accommodate internal ballast.

Building material

GRP (quadrexal) and Isothalic resins. Sandwich construction of balsa end-grain up to the water line. Underwater ship protected from osmosis by West System epoxy.

Accommodations, Furnishings and Lay-out

Stepping down the companionway, one enters the open-plan layout. There are a starboard and a port quarter berth aft. The saloon is situated on the starboard side, roughly amidships, with the navigation area on the opposite side. Forward of the saloon is the main cabin. Forward of the navigation area are the galley and the heads. A sail locker is situated in front of the heads.

The interior furnishings were upgraded in 2008 with a cream colour scheme to compliment the varnished Brazilian mahogany and American cherry & maple woodwork. All floors have been resanded and varnished in 2009.

The standing height exceeds 6’ and there is a lot of stowage space.

There are six aluminium portlights (Lewmar) and three aluminium hatches (Gebo). There are nine aluminium windows (Rhigo).

Three cabins: Starboard quarter berth, sleeps one person.

Port quarter berth, sleeps one person or two small person/s.

Main cabin, sleeps two persons.

Saloon: Off-centre: two settees, sits four people,

table: 2.6’( 4’ (80cm ( 120cm).

Navigation area: One settee, sits two people,

navigation table 2’x 3.3’ (60cm x 100cm) (facing bow).

Heads: Manual toilet (Par), washbasin with pressurized freshwater, pull-out shower. Grey water tank (12 gallon / 46 liter).

Galley: Crockery, cutlery, etc. for four persons.

Two stainless steel sinks, freshwater (pressurized) and salt water (Whale, manual) faucets. Gimballed, propane two burner stove with oven (Plastimo, Pacific 2000).
