At over 350 million years old, these exposed fossil beds in the Ohio River have many stories of a prehistoric ocean. You will not want to miss the park's Interpretive Center featuring handson exhibits and movie that bring the area's history to life. 2017 SoIn Events

MAY: Abbey Road on the River ? Held for the first time in Southern Indiana, just one mile north of Louisville, KY, the world's largest Beatles tribute festival will be held over Memorial Day weekend along the north shore of the Ohio River. Groups will experience five fabulous days of Fab Four music right in the heart of Jeffersonville, Indiana. This festival captures the musical act's timeless essence with musical acts from all over the globe. Each band offers their own take on the Beatles music and those that they influenced. There will be eight stages with music that will transport your groups to the time of "peace and love."

OCTOBER: Louisville Jack

O' Lantern Spectacular ? Over 5,000 professionally carved jack-o-lanterns lighting nearly a one-third-mile Jack O'Lantern Spectacular trail. There are several themed scenes along the trail and are set to music to get your group in the mood for the fall season. Just 15 minutes away from Southern Indiana in Iroquois Park, Louisville. Visit for a spooktacular good time.

APRIL: Thunder over Louisville ? Kicking off the two-week Kentucky Derby Festival, Thunder Over Louisville is North America's largest consecutive fireworks display. Your group's guests will "ooh" and "aah" during the day's airshow featuring both modern and vintage aircraft and then enjoy premium seating on the Indiana side of the Ohio River. (Available only to groups staying in a participating SoIN hotel.) MAY: Abbey Road on the River ?
