Clinical Service:

Outpatient Services – Emergency Department Charity Campus, 12 months annually. Ten to twelve, 12-hour shifts each month, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Teaching responsibilities for paramedics, nurses, medical students, interns, residents, and fellows. Active patient care and teaching rounds each shift within the department.

Administrative Responsibilities:

Section of Emergency Medicine – Assistant Program Director for ~65 EM residents per year, advisor to five EM residents per year, advisor to over 100 medical students per year in the LSUHSC and Tulane Emergency Medicine Interest Groups. Research coordinator for ~65 EM residents and advisor to 40 LSUHSC and Tulane medical students per year in the Emergency Medicine Research Interest Group. Journal club director for monthly meetings. Assists in RRC preparation and program review (1999 & 2005). Member of LSUHSC Section of Emergency Medicine Faculty and Resident Peer Review committees.
