Question 1. Would it be deemed advantageous for the bidder to assemble a team that included a NoVa law firm and an appraiser licensed in the Commonwealth specializing in zoning matters? Or, does VT already have such entities under contract, like the commercial broker?Virginia Tech Answer: You should assemble the team that you think best addresses the needs of Virginia Tech for this particular RFP.Question 2. What is the total square feet of current space locations and the square footage per location?Virginia Tech Answer: See attached Schedule of Occupied Space in the National Capital Region (Attachment D)Question 3. Is there a link to the Strategic Plan? What is the strategic direction of the University? Virginia Tech Answer: Links are provided below.A Plan for a New Horizon Areas Boundaries – General Boundaries: Envisioning the Campus of the Future 4. What is the initiative to grow for the National Capital Region? Virginia Tech Answer: For specific foci, see the “Destination Areas” link above. No specific quantitative targets are set in terms of growth. Question 5. Who manages the properties in Northern Virginia?Virginia Tech Answer: See attached Schedule of Occupied Space in the National Capital RegionQuestion 6. How do you want pricing? Are you looking for an hourly rate for the different services, a total project cost or a total management package? Virginia Tech Answer: Innovative strategies are welcome. Propose what your firm thinks would best suit Virginia Tech for these services.Question 7. Who is the incumbent vendor for these services?Virginia Tech Answer: There is no incumbent. Question 8. Do you have a growth trajectory for Alexandria? Other areas?Virginia Tech Answer: This is evolving continuously. Question 9. Are there specific programs being developed that will require specialty real estate considerations?Virginia Tech Answer:No.Question 10.
