1989 ADA is among the first manufacturers to support and promote the formation of CEDIA, the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association.

1990 ADA introduces first analog Pro Logic surround sound decoder - SSD-66.

1990 World’s first Triple-Tuner - the MT-3000 with ADA Bus control & feedback.

1990 ADA wins EIA Innoventions Award - MT-3000.

1991 World’s first bi-directional RS-232 controlled entertainment system - System 3000.

1991 ADA wins EIA Innovations Award - System 3000.

1992 ADA is among first manufacturers to offer a THX certified power amplifier (MPA-500 and BPA-500) and THX certified surround sound decoder (SSD-66THX).

1992 Albert G. Langella, ADA’s co-founder, current President & CEO, and ADA’s Chief Design Engineer wins CEDIA’s first-ever coveted “Life Time Achievement” Award for having developed the products that

started the custom installation industry.

1993 Industry’s first RS-232 controllable three-zone A/V preamplifier - Delta-3.

1994 Industry’s first RS-232 multi-zone mainframe capable of expansion to 256 zones - Delta-88.

1994 World’s first and only tube surround sound decoder - Olympus III ($50,000).

1995 ADA is the first to introduce Dolby Digital (AC-3) technology in a finished product (Olympus III). Sets industry standard for six channel audio quality.

1995 World’s first and only upgrade to Dolby Digital technology is made available to the SSD-66.

1995 Peter T. McKean, ADA+s co-founder is posthumously honored by CEDIA for his life-work in having helped found CEDIA.

1995 ADA introduces the Millennium System (Multi-Zone) which offered ADA quality at a significantly lower price.
