? The storm surge warning has been replaced by a coastal flood advisory through this afternoon
Overview
Tropical Depression Francine
? Francine continues to move away from the area and wind gusts continue to ease
across the local area. Generally seeing gusts below 20 mph, with occasional gusts
in the 20-30 mph range along the immediate coast of southeast and south-central
Louisiana.
? Residual flooding remains a concern, specifically for areas that saw signifficant
flooding yesterday from Hurricane Francine.
? Lingering coastal flooding will continue to be a concern as well, as it will take some
time for surge/tides to recede.

Tropical Depression Francine
? NWS New Orleans issued a public
information statement including 24hour rainfall totals broken down by
parish
? More comprehensive overview of
rainfall totals will be included in a
Post-Storm Hurricane Report in a
later date.
? A swath of 7-11§ of rain fell along and
just east of Francine*s center from
near the Atchaflaya River across the
north shore of Lake Pontchartrain.
Much of the rain fell in about 2 hours,
resulting in widespread flash flooding.
