It's always nice to know the TPS report is well received. Thanks mike.
Well.... i'm looking forward to a great NFL season as well as a great fantasy season. I'm VERY glad that football is back.
I guess i'll start with a few NFL predictions, as i didn't do too shabby last year.
NFC NORTH: Minnesota Vikings
NFC EAST: Philadelphia Eagles
NFC SOUTH: Carolina Panthers
NFC WEST: St. Louis Rams
NFC Wildcard: Seattle
NFC Wildcard: Detroit (yeah i said it)
AFC NORTH: Baltimore Ravens
AFC EAST: New York Jets
AFC SOUTH: Indianapolis Colts
AFC WEST: Kansas City Chiefs
AFC Wildcard: Cincinatti Bengals
AFC Wildcard: Houston Texans
Yeah that's right..... no patriots..... not even out of spite.
Super Bowl: Rams over Ravens (as much as i would hate to see that superbowl)
I could also see the eagles or seahawks making it there, as well as the chiefs or the colts...... but all four of those teams are perennial choke artists.
I also think joey harrington will have good statistics this year (maybe not so much completion percentage, or even ints) but will lose us at least one game, probably many more. Aaron Rodgers will see the field at some point this year. JP Losman will throw at least 18 touchdowns. The bears and the browns will tie for the worst record in the league. Randy Moss will not reach 11 touchdowns. This year's biggest turnaround team will be the Bucs.
Well, that's all i could muster. Guess time will tell how wrong i am.
I'll finish the report when i've had more rest. Adios.

Ya know..... fuckin yahoo. Taking half my weekly report away from me. Now we can vote on who we think will win, and yahoo predicts the games for us. This would all be great if it didn't take away a part of my job. TOOKERJERBS!!!!
Well anyway, i'm still gonna make my predictions as always. Why not?
SICKYS vs 100s - I don't see Nic's younger players exploding out of the gate, and Peyton against the Ravens is cause for concern, especially after a lackluster preseason by the colts.
CHISE vs Speedy - I don't see Oakland having much success against the patriots, and John's running backs will take advantage of very suspect defenses.
BLITZ vs Players - This comes down to my opinion that biggar has a flat out better team. nuff said.
PHANTOMS vs Americans - This is almost a toss up but i think rinna has a better team and i like his matchups a little better.
CHIPS vs Stars - I like my odds here. The matchups favor me and even though i don't see my youngsters blowign up right away, i think one of them will have a big enough day to help me out.
TPS Report page 3
Sep 8 12:04pm
ah.... i love these weeks when i get to write 3 pages of TPS goodness.
Since we have nothing to look back on yet, let's look ahead shall we.
Playoff teams:
Blitz
Phantoms
Sickness
Chips
I think ryan, nic or lou has a shot to beat me out of the playoffs. Ryan drafted in the 9 spot this year and always seems to shoot himself in the foot somehow, and Lou drafted 2 Raiders as starters, and i'm not predicting the year that others are for the silver and black. nic has worse running backs and better receivers, but his receivers are young like mine and have just as good of shot as hitting slumps.
QB MVP: Peyton Manning
Um..... duh
RB MVP: Shaun Alexander
He gets to pick where he wants to go next year, and the team he's on has been on the verge of greatness for a long time now.
WR MVP: Chad Johnson
Carson Palmer will come to maturity this year, and Chad Johnson will have a lot to do with it. As i've stated i think they'll make the playoffs this year and since i foresee lesser stats for the top 3 receivers than their 2004 outputs, Johnson is the pick.
Nominees for Steal of the Draft:
Antwaan Randle El
Eric Moulds
Chester Taylor
Stephen Davis
Najeh Davenport
Rookie of the year: Carnell Williams
yes, i'm picking my boy here, but hear me out. The other 3 running backs have major question marks. Braylon isn't the real deal, at least not yet. Williamson makes an intriguing pick, but i just think Williams will better them all.
I think Central teams (including trav) will have a winning record against eastern teams this year.
Speedy Fans will be sorely disappointed with their owner's decision making this year.
There will be at least two teams that don't make the playoffs but have more points than teams that did make it.
And..... well that's all i can think of. Hope everyone is ready for kickoff of the '05 season. Drink or Smoke em if ya got em.
The Commish, and damn glad to be back,
Trevor Collins

Sep 17 11:14pm
Well, i started off the year 1-4 with my predictions. Oh Joy! I guess its always a crapshoot at the beginning of the year. Let's see what i can come up with this time.
AMERICANS vs Chips - While the loss of Javon for ryan certainly helps my cause, i still think he's got a slightly better team than mine. Since there's nothing about the schedule that should slow him down, i might go 0-2.
100s vs Stars - If the Ravens couldn't slow down the Colts, then no one can. Not to mention KJ is playing Chicago, and i see him going off. Nic spells redemption R-O-N.
BLITZ vs Phantoms - While Ryu's smack talk is intimidating, i see the Packers having a huge bounceback game against a shitty browns team.
CHISE vs Players - I don't know why but i just like John's team better. I think its the RBs, but to be honest this one is pretty much a guess.
SICKIES vs Speedy - Bulger and Holt vs the Cardinals D. Are you kidding me? Not to mention Priest is playing Oakland and Westbrook is against SF. This one could be a blowout.
TPS Report page 2
Sep 17 11:30pm
Damn. Central and Eastern didn't come to play today. We lost by a combined 95-3. That's pretty sad. At least Michigan and State won..... and looked good doing it.
Well, I'm not sure what i'm gonna do about page 2 this year. I wanna do something new, but it will just have to wait. For now, here are the regulars.
Stud of the week:
Corey Dillon - Players
Started the season right and helped to secure a win.
Dud of the week:
Any Packers
I think packer starters got a combined 5 points this past week. Way to go guys.
Pickup of the week:
Willie Parker - Americans
Looked real good in week one, and could possibly secure the job this week.
Drop of the week:
Javon Walker - Americans
I ALMOST feel bad for ryan. I mean, losing your third round pick in week 1 for the entire year. ouch.
Quote of the week:

by: Doc's All Stars (dupay2k) Sep 13 11:35am
sorry about saturday....i was too fucked to go anywhere and passed out...also i dropped my phone at the game like a drunk ass into a a puddle of beer and fucked it up real bad....i can't hear when i talk on it....so i don't answer it...when i had all the missed i was passed out woke up at midnight and started to party again....tell brandon i will call him on thursday when i get a new phone i am not ignoring him.......also i if anyone wants to go to wisconsin in 2 weeks for the wisconsin vs. michigan game i have room for 2 more people....lamar and his 2 roomates are goin to pay for all the gas to wisconsin....and 2 cases of beer...so if u want to go fuckin call my house 479 5736..thankyou and have a great day....and ur goin to lose nic
I thought that deserved a repost..... because that was a perfect Travis message.
Well that's all for now kids. Have a good Sunday.
The Commish,
Trev
TPS Report week 4
Oct 2 11:39am
Well, i'm 4-6 with the predictions so far. Again, i'm sorry for not putting up a report last week. Even now i'm under the gun because i've got an intermural softball game in a bit. Anyway, here we go.
AMERICANS vs 100s - Can the Central kids get off the snide and make something happen. My guess is no. Nic's got a good shot, but my money's on the short kid.
EMPTY CANS vs Blitz - Frankly, i like Trav's smack talk better. The teams are about even this week and i could be wrong here, but biggar's sister does have a nice rack.
PLAYERS vs Speedy - I don't think Lou will be squeezing out another victory this week.
SICKIES vs Random - So.... i'm picking mike to win these days. WTF? I like his chances here though.
CHIPS vs Chise - Yes, i'm picking myself. I need to give the Chips a little optimism going into this game. 0-4 is the wrong way to start, and a hole i do not want to climb out of.
TPS Report week 6
Oct 16 12:14pm
I cannot believe its already week 6. That is crazy. Well, for accuracy's sake, my record is now 5-10 for predictions. Let's jump right back into the swing of things.
CHIPS vs Speedy - Well of course i'm going to lose because i'm picking myself.... but i like McGahee and Moulds against the Jets and i like the Ravens D to finally step up against the Browns. God i hope i'm right, or lou's gonna run away with the league.
BLITZ vs 100s - To nic's credit, he's been busy as fuck this week and fantasy football was the last thing on his mind, so that's why he doesn't have a defense. Still, biggs has too much talent and i see him walking away with this one.
EMPTY CANS vs Sickness - Looks like a close matchup, but I wouldn't trust any player going up against the colts d these days. Travis should win, and brag..... and brag about it.
RANDOM WORD vs Players - It's kind of hard to pick a team to win with Kerry Collins at QB, real or fantasy. Not to mention did you see the lightning bolt on Aaron's helmet. Scary.
CHISE vs Americans - So.... i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that i probably won't be picking ryan to win any games the rest of the year. Sorry man, but you said it yourself... you lost 3 of your top 4 draft picks, and the other one isn't performing. Good luck to ya anyway.
TPS report page 2
Oct 16 12:32pm
Well..... this is cutting it close. Doesn't help that John tried to pick up someone right before the game. I'm sure you just forgot though. Anyway, its nice to be on page 2, since i haven't done many this year. Let's go.
Stud of the week: Indy Defense
Americans
Lots of studs last week, but it was Indy's big effort that game ryan a close win
Dud of the week: Marvin Harrison
Blitz
0 points from your stud receiver. That's unacceptable.
Pickup of the week: Ricky Williams
Sickies
This should prove to be an interesting situation to say the least.
Drop of the week: Deuce McAllister
Americans
Never good to drop a top draft pick for whatever reason.
Quote of the week: Blitz
"something you don't know is that you already have a handful of little McKays running around the country somewhere. how do you do it? "
What the hell is that about?
Site of the week:
This is an oldy, but a goody. Many of you have already seen this video, but i figured i'd start this new segment with some quality
That's all for now kids. L8r
TPS Report week 7
Oct 23 6:13am
Last week helped. I'm now 9-11 with predictions. It's 6 in the goddamn morning so i'm gonna make this brief.
PLAYERS vs Chips - we all know i'm gonna lose. moving on...
SPEEDY vs Cans - I'm gonna go with Lou on this one. i like everything but his rbs better this week.
SICKIES vs Americans
WORD vs 100s - So apparently i have to kick nic's ass in gear because he forgot again to pick up a bye week replacement. ugh....
page 2's gonna be late. You don't like it then you can have a ball sandwich...
TPS Report Week 8
Oct 29 4:15pm
For some reason i decided to only make 4 predictions, and then i didn't post a page 2. Oh well, I'm 10-14 so far. Here we go.
CHIPS vs Word - Honestly, i think i'm gonna win, but i'm very uncomfortable with picking myself because i usually prove myself wrong.
PLAYERS vs Cans - Travis is right, his RBs do suck this week. Normally i wouldn't pick a team to win if they have kerry collins and cleveland's defense, but fuck it. haha.... i just said butt fuck.
SPEEDY vs Americans
BLITZ vs Sickies - My reasons are two fold. First, i think biggar just has a better team. Second, some things never change, and i gotta pick against mike.
This last one's a real toss up.... so lemme flip a coin.
100s vs Chise - Nic won the toss. Hell that's good anyway. John you're 4-3 so i gotta root for you to lose. Sorry.
TPS Report page 2
Oct 29 7:17pm
After a week long battle of words with mike, its good to get on here.
WOW, central's up by 7 and there's 5 minutes left..... i'm going back to the game and i'll leave this up to write when i get back.
Holy shit.... that was awesome. i just rushed the field and jumped up and down with Central's Football team, screaming and chanting C-M-U. We beat Toledo! FUCK YEAH!
Well anyway, on with this thing.
Stud of the week:
Lamont Jordan - Speedy
26 points.... are you kidding me with that. If LT did it i wouldn't flinch. But LJ?!
Dud of the week:
LaDainian Tomlinson - Blitz
1 point out of the guy that scores EVERY WEEK. damn.
Pickup of the week:
Chris Perry.... and again Chris Perry - Cans and Word
I dunno if Travis made a deal to drop him cuz Aaron wanted Perry, but whatever, its still a good pickup.
Drop of the week:
Ahman Green - Blitz
Yeah.... its because of injury, but damn does that suck
Quote of the week:
"travis, you are an asshole... you suck. and you're gay and i'm telling everybody." - Aaron
Site of the week:
pretty funny..... i mean sure its bullshit propaganda.... but even republicans can get a laugh.
TPS Report week 9
Nov 6 11:55am
Alright..... can't believe i'm actually doing this. I'll tell ya it was one crazy weekend...... and for those at home rooting for me, you can applaud me twice. Anyway, I went 2-1 last week, with two ties. That means i'm 12-15 on the year (well, 12-15-2).
SMOKEHOUSE SHOWDOWN
JOKERS vs Cans - This is a really close matchup, but i see Alexander going off and Vanderjagt kicking a helluva lot, cuz as much as i hate the patriots, they've got the colts number.
T R U Battle
PLAYERS vs Americans - This is another one for bragging rights at work. As i said, i'm not picking ryan the rest of the year, as his team's been depleted. With that said, i wouldn't be surprised to see him win this one.
Showdown in Ypsi
BLITZ vs Speedy - this one goes more on feel, as its another close one. I propose that whoever wins gets to keep their helmet, and the loser has to change theirs.
Battle for 3rd
CHISE vs Sickies - No surprise here. I hardly ever pick mike. I still think John's got this one in the bag.
Roommate Rumble
100s vs Chips - Nic and i certainly aren't strangers to a good battle. In fantasy football, nic looks to have my number. My receivers are looking pretty shotty and i need a big day from the Bucs.
TPS report page 2
Nov 6 12:16pm
I don't know about the rest of you, but this was a good week. Here's a look back at fantasy.
Stud of the week:
Marion Barber - Cans
A pickup one week, a stud the next. Damn trav, way to go.
Dud of the week:
Clinton Portis - Americans
Surprise Surprise. Ryan has the dud. 0 points from a second rounder against a bad run d. damn
Pickup of the week:
Antwaan Randle El - Jokers
If he's healthy, its a good pick
Drop of the week:
Lawrence Tynes - Cans and Americans
You'd think tynes was a cock with all the in and out (of rosters) he's done.
Quote of the week:
a couple of my players (i won't mention any names) expressed a deep displeasure with the what they called the "urban makeup" of the students at EMU so we here felt it necessary to give this team a name that was not only more appropriate but also was something that wouldn't provoke a cross-burning. - Aaron
My god.... i'm glad we don't get so easily offended anymore.
Site of the week:
This guys is fucking SWEET!
TPS Report week 10
Nov 13 12:28pm
Wow.... a 5-0 week last week. 17-15 overall now. Hopefully i can keep it going.
JOKERS vs Americans
SPEEDY vs Chise - Even with Orton at QB, i still think Lou's got this one.
100s vs Sickies - Not only am i going against mike, but Nic has some great matchups this week and if there was any game he should win, it would be this one.
PLAYERS vs Blitz - Dunno why, but i just have a feeling about this one.
CANS vs Chips - with rudi out and caddy sucking...... I'm hurting at RB. Not to mention i'm starting Reggie Brown at WR this week. This ought to be bad.
TPS Report Week 12
Nov 27 11:46am
I went 3-2 last time i did a report, leaving me 20-17 on the season. From now on, I'm going to assume that Ryan and I will lose the remainder of our games, unless otherwise noted.
JOKERS vs Chise - See, two things really jump out at me when i see this matchup. First off, John lost in poker last night, and so i think it could be the start of a streak. Also, Batman was on last night, and the Joker kicks ass.
PLAYERS vs Sickies - Sorry Mike, but you're not showing last year's champ anything. I'm picking the underdog in this one just to get your goat.
100s vs Speedy - Yeah, i'm picking Nic again, and yeah, i'm picking against lou. This is a combo for disaster, but whatever. Nic had to work on thanksgiving, so i'm hoping he'll win and it will be a little bonus to the weekend.
TPS Report page 2
Nov 27 11:58am
Yeah Yeah.... its been a while since i wrote a page 2. You guys can't get on me too bad though. I've been a decent commish this year. At least i've been on to you kids and your ways..... trying to pick up players when you're not allowed. Yeah, we'll probably change the rule next year, but be easy.
Stud of the week:
Larry Johnson - Blitz
Ya know biggs, you were bitching an awful lot about farve throwing picks last week, when in reality if Johnson hadn't gotten you a whopping 22 points, you wouldn't even have been in that predicament. Nice win though.... geez.
Dud of the week:
Samkon Gado - Chips
For the second straight week, i played the wrong player and lost because of it. The week before, Roy Williams caught 3 TDs after doing nothing all year, and i sat his ass. This past week, I sat a struggling Rudi Johnson for Gado's hot hand, and paid the price again. And just like that... I'm 3-8 instead of 5-6 and out of the playoffs.
Pickups and Drops of the week:
eh.... nothing worth noting.
Site of the week:
This is where i go to check out all the new movie trailers. Definitely check out happy feet. Robin Williams is the man.
Final TPS Report
Jan 17 9:16pm
Well to start out. I just want to say congratulations to the winners:
Scott Biggar - League Champion
John Kose - 2nd place
Lou Hicks - 3rd Place
Nic Resconich - QB MVP (Peyton Manning)
Aaron Rinna - RB MVP (Shaun Alexander)
Travis Trumitch - WR MVP (Steve Smith)
Hope you all enjoy your winnings. I'm also very jealous so fuck off.
I made some predictions earlier this year about what would take place in the NFL, and despite my success in 2004, this year didn't go so well. Only 4 of the 12 teams i predicted to go to the playoffs made it (Seattle, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Carolina). Joey Harrington had about as good of a year as i thought, but actually a little worse. He lost us at least two games on his own, and his stats were actually worse than 2004. Randy Moss didn't come close to 11 TDs (8). I predicted JP Losman would throw at least 18 TDs, and while he only threw 8, he missed 7 games. The Bears didn't have one of the worst records, though the Browns made a run at the worst. The BIGGEST turnaround team wasn't the Bucs, but they did turn things around and made it to the playoffs.
As for my predictions for our league, two of the 4 playoff teams made it. Rinna and I failed to make the playoffs once again. I picked the QB and RB MVPs correctly, but i was a smidge off with my pick for WR. Carnell Williams was a very good pick for rookie of the year, but i don't think he was the BEST one. Larry Johnson certainly was the steal of the draft, and should have seen that coming. I think its pretty obvious that this year EMU beat CMU, but i hope to help reverse that next year. Oh, and sure enough, there were 3 teams that didn't make the playoffs but had higher point totals than a team that did.
It's certainly been a good year, and i hope you all enjoyed it. I didn't put as much effort into the reports or keeping up with things as much as previos years, but next year I want to make it up to you.
Possibilities for LDFF in 2006:
A new website (instead of yahoo)
A story page for the LDFF site
change of waiver/free agent rules
Possible return of 9 owners
Increased TPS Report coverage
Another fun draft
Another good year
Take it easy and Shabashoobang!
The Commish,
Trevor Collins
