ROTC PROGRAMS-The Reserve Officers Training Corp is a college program offered at over 1,700 colleges and universities across the US that prepares young adults to become officers in the US Military. In exchange for a paid college education and guaranteed post-college career, cadets commit to service in the military after graduation. At training/rotc, you will find Army ROTC, Marine and Navy ROTC and Air Force Rotary details and application processes.

Many state universities, like Clemson University, the University of South Carolina, the University of Alabama, the University of Mississippi, Mississippi State University, Penn State University and The Ohio State University, have scholarship programs for out-of-state students with specific GPA and test score credentials-look closely at schools that interest you. There are many more with scholarship programs that fit students with strong academic records.

Criteria: The program will recognize one student in each state who is tenacious and persistent, no matter the challenge, and is prepared for life after high school with a goal in mind and plan in place; composite ACT score of 22 on a single test date or a 3.0 GPA (a student who has overcome challenges and can articulate education and career actions)

THE NATIONAL MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS SOCIETY’S SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Criteria: Provides scholarships to anyone with multiple sclerosis, or anyone who is the child of some with multiple sclerosis, who will be attending an accredited postsecondary school for the first time.

Awards: Range from $1,000 to $3,000, although a limited number may exceed this amount
