No student may take their exam early per district policy. Only 7 days until Thanksgiving break.The NJHS has a homework help table in the library on Tuesday through Thursday from 8:05-8:40. The students are welcome to get help on their assignments as needed.NJHS Food Drive:Our annual food drive will begin Monday, November 7 and continue through Thursday, November 17. All donations will benefit the Fort Bend Human Needs Ministries Food Pantry. All food items will be collected this year through the ELA department.? Students bringing even one item will be entered in a drawing for prizes, but please encourage your students to bring as much as they can.? Two years ago, through the generosity of BMS students and staff, we filled up the entire truck.? We are hoping to be able to do this again to help those in need this holiday season.? The kids did a much better job and were very successful. The higher of the two test scores have been entered into Skyward. If there score hasn’t changed they will get their test back Monday. Please ask your child to show you a ratio table and explain how it works. The ratio table teaches them a process for finding the answer. In 7th grade we focus on the process as much as finding the right answer. They will be allowed to use calculators for this unit as long as they use a ratio table and show how they travel from one number to the next. They should be able to explain the travel part to you.Test will be the Monday of Thanksgiving break.Students will take the Math District Assessment on November 15, please remind your child to look over their notes and old tests/quizzes and practice problems from the textbook over the weekend.Tutorials for math are offered by me on Wednesdays at 8:05AM in my classroom. On Thursday, we’re taking our district assessment – so please make sure your student eats a good breakfast and gets an appropriate amount of rest Wednesday night. Pre-AP/GT-In addition to the above, the GT and Pre-AP classes will continue to do “Proof of learning” assignments over each event during the Texas Revolution. The students will write journal entries to connect their own experiences in life with the text, some of which will be collected for a daily grade.?
