Calling all readers!  The PCHS library is conducting an after-school book discussion this coming February 15, and we would like for you to be involved.  We are not asking for money or prizes; we are asking you to choose one of the following books, read the book, and come to the discussion.  The book choices are as follows:  Anna and the French Kiss, Ship Breaker, Split, Room, Dirty Little Secrets, Hold Me Closer Necromancer, Incarceron, Leverage, Sorta Like a Rock Star, and You.  Descriptions of these books can be found at .

In order to participate, please:

•          Choose and locate a book.  You may purchase the book at a discount through Carolyn Reid.  Please contact her at Carolyn.reid@pendleton.kyschools.us, or at 654-3355, x7206 if you would like to purchase a book through her.  (Orders and money will be due by Dec. 21.)  You may also purchase the book privately, or borrow the book from your local library.

•          Contact Carolyn Reid to let her know you are participating and what book you are reading.

•          Read the book.

•          Arrive at the PCHS cafeteria by 3:00 on Feb. 15.  At that time, discussion groups will be announced.  You will be sent with your discussion group.

Our goal is to demonstrate to students that people across the community read for pleasure as well as for other purposes, and that reading as a community and discussing the book can be fun as well as educational.  We would love to have your participation in this event!
