Our mission is to create a healthier and fitter planet and we want to make the opportunity available to everyone. Unfortunately, this isn’t always a reality so we want to do our bit to ensure as many children as we can get the opportunity to grow up healthy, fit and most importantly; happy.LMFC works with carefully selected organisations that share our values and have the resources available to help children. LMFC raises money to fund other charitable projects within the UK and the Republic of Ireland. In order to raise money our dedicated team carry out a wide range of charitable work.What do we fund?We award the funds we raise to registered charities and accountable non-profit organisations who we believe will do their most to improve the education and physical and emotional wellbeing of children. Your work may focus on one or more of these areas:Health & WellbeingPhysical & Mental Health ProblemsLiving With DisabilityLiving in PovertyTriannual deadlinesOur LMFC Giveaway body meets 3 times a year to invite grant proposals from charities and individual projects, working in the youth health and fitness field. The Giveaway body comprises of senior Les Mills executives and independent experts in the fields of education, health and fitness. Its members meet to evaluate the proposals and advise the board on the most appropriate areas for support. What we don’t fundWe do not fund; Applicants whose projects do not fit one LMFC’s four target groups, Living in Poverty, Physical & Mental Health Problems, Health & Wellbeing and Living with a Disability. Organisations which are not registered charities or CIC’s.Charities:That have been registered for less than 12 monthsPresent financial information which is incomplete or out of dateThat have management and administration costs (including fundraising costs) above 30% of their annual expenditureThat have projects and organisations outside the UK or the Republic of IrelandWhere funding requests are over ?1,0000 pa for up to 2 years (?2,000 total)Whose request is solely for day-to-day administrative running costs (rent, lighting, heat, etc.)Whose request is solely for staff salaries or other staff costsWhere outcomes are unclear or where the grant will not make an impactWhere requests are made by individuals, general donationsWhere the request is for fundraising events or other fundraising costsThat work with adults over the age of 25Whose request is for medical research, individual medical treatmentWhere the application is for capital appeals to a general fund or construction of new buildingsWhere the application is for overseas expeditions or exchange programmesWhere the application is for training or conferences for professionals or staff, e.g. teacher training, parenting trainingWhere the application is for a loanWhose work excludes some faith groupsWho work with only boys or only girlsGenerally the Foundation will not fund applicants with an income above ?2 million except for hospices or to reflect our own size. Charities larger than this may still apply, but please note that preference may be given to applications from smaller charities.How much can you apply for?We invite applications for up to ?1,000. We want to support a wide range and number of youth causes that inspire children to get active. Please complete the online application form and submit it by 5pm on the day of the deadline to grants@ Can you reapply?If you are unsuccessful, we request that you allow 2 year before reapplying, allowing other causes to request support. If you have received a grant, you are requested to submit a grant report form to grants@ when the project completes. You may then reapply for continuation funding; however there is no guarantee of continued support so this should not be planned for.
