The Program Director will be the director of the actual operation of the program and duties of all staff employed in the program. Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Plan, develop, implement and evaluate the In-Home Aide Service Program (IAS Program).Recruit, interview, hire, evaluate and participate in orientation of nursing staff.Prepare and maintain accurate records.Maintain accurate records of service units for billing purposes.Coordinate with nursing staff regarding budgeting of service units.Prepare purchase requisitions for necessary supplies and equipment. Review, write and keep current aide’s orientation manual, supervisor’s manual, job descriptions, etc. Review time sheets and expense reports submitted by staff.Approve leave slips for CNA’s, Chore Workers, RN and Administrative Assistant and assist with coverage coordination. Develop, maintain and monitor ongoing Quality Assessment/Improvement activities. Collaborate with the process of data collection, identifying and analyzing areas that need intervention for improvement through the quality assessment and quality improvement plan (QA/QI).Supervise and evaluate nursing staff.Provide yearly evaluations for staff performance. Participate in disciplinary actions and/or termination of employees, as needed. Review and develop, with Case Managers/Supervisors continuing education and in-service training; to include provision of 12 hours of annual continuing education for CNA’s. Coordinate staff attendance at appropriate workshops and seminars.Attend workshops, conferences, and seminars.Be proficient with the aspects of computer programming, including use of Excel and Word. Provide a written description for CNA of the Quarter and CNA of the Year. Cultivate and maintain good client and community relations.Identify and assess needs not being met through the IAS Program and refer to appropriate agencies. Coordinate services with other agency programs and community resources. Complete CNA certification renewals and send to North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry (NCNAR).Maintain current CNA records: PPD, CPR, Immunizations, CNA Licensure, Continuing Education hours. Triage clients on the “Waiting List” to ensure admission into the various Title III levels. Initiate assessments for the admissions and discharges of clients from program.Make home visits, as scheduled.Act as a liaison for CNA’s, Chore Workers, clients and families. Keep the Executive Director informed in regards to program operations and any problems that arise. Collaborate with the Executive Director.Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director. Education/Experience:Registered Nurse License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation:Unrestricted North Carolina RN Licensure BLS CPR CertificationNorth Carolina Driver’s LicenseNecessary Special Qualifications: Self- Motivated, Dependability, Punctuality, Integrity, Mentoring, Compassionate, Positive Verbal Skills, Leadership Qualities, Documentation, Proficiency, Autonomy, Organizational Skills, and Time Management Skills.
