Centris To Host Free Shred Day on August 1

OMAHA, Neb. – Centris Federal Credit Union will host a free information destruction/shredding day on Saturday, August 1 from 9 am to noon at the credit union headquarters building located at 11825 Q Street.

DataShield will be providing the shredding services said Dawn Gonzales, Centris’ Vice President of Community Development. “This is a great opportunity for our members and the general public to protect their personal and confidential information,” she said. “We’re only accepting paper documents on Saturday and they will be shredded onsite at Centris to ensure the information is securely destroyed.” Gonzales added that those who participate are asked to limit the items to be shredded to 2 bags or 2 small boxes.

“We will be practicing social distancing at the event and request that people remain in their vehicles for their safety. To allow our staff to easily access items to be shredded, please place them in a back seat, hatch or trunk space,” Gonzales said. She also requested that if you have any health concerns or are exhibiting signs or symptoms of Covid-19 or any other respiratory stress to please refrain from attending the event.

Centris staff members will be on site throughout the morning to assist with traffic flow.
